So, by your own admission, he's the 6th best striker in the premiership. So when you factor in the Spanish, Italian, and German leagues, that makes him about 87th in the world!
The premiership is superior to the Italian league IMO so they are out, the Spanish and German Leagues only have 2 decent teams in them each so lets just say he scrapes into the top 10. We are 3 points off top, and qualification from the CL group is still in our hands. if that's struggling I wish in my 37 years of supporting Tottenham we struggled more frequently.
What we do have though is a small squad, whether we care to admit it or not we all knew that deep down it hasn't been invested in properly for years and there are two players who are fundamental to the team, Alderwield who's the best defender in the league and kane who world class or not has scored more goals than anyone in the league over the last two seasons. We've been without both..
Its also pretty ironic that we have Liverpool fans coming out of hibernation as well a Chelsea 'fan' Wum'ing us for not performing in a competition that they haven't even qualified for despite spending way, way, way, way more than we did to get there.
On to Arsenal and I fear the worst now it must be said, we may be without Vertongen too!

I haven't mentioned the CL. All I said was that Harry Kane isn't world class, something that at least 2 of your fellow sufferers have agreed with. But as you raise it, of course you're right, we never qualified for it this year. However, we did qualify for it for the previous 16 years, and have actually won it. So I'll just have to make do with those memories for a while. I think I'll cope.

This is not Wumming, but lets just say you finish 3rd, do you stay at Wembley or can you go back to White Heart lane?
You really would not want 25/30k in there when you draw some unknowns from Eastern Europe...
Fairly sure the agreement is CL only, Europa we'd go back home. You really would not want 25/30k in there when you draw some unknowns from Eastern Europe...

We're playing the CL games at Wembley because WHL does not meet UEFA rules for stadium access, ticket allocations, and "rights delivery" (I assume they mean advertising spaces) with all the works going on, so I suspect we'd have to stay at Wembley. I also suspect they may just close the top tier to reduce the capacity (which is what they will have to do next season when we play our league games there, as Wembley has a limit of 37 "big events" per year imposed by Brent Council)You really would not want 25/30k in there when you draw some unknowns from Eastern Europe...

Glad you put "big event" in inverted commas. Not sure Spuds league match counts. desolate said:
It's all gone a bit like the LFC thread of the last few years in here.
You've not even lost a league game yet.

This is the only football thread HR post's in after his flouncy hissy fit after getting owned by RT again & again.
In the last 30 days HR has posted 3 times in the LFC thread & 23 times in here & he only does it for one reason

It will still be Wembley i believe. Apparently the club has to submit the grounds at the start of the campaign. You really would not want 25/30k in there when you draw some unknowns from Eastern Europe...
Talk sport alluded to something like this earlier today.
