Just got back, it was like an exhibition match, never thought a Pullis team could be so poor.
Likewise. But a bit further to travel. I thought we were scarily good today. Four nil up and kept the ball for five minutes. Don't think I've ever seen that in the premiership before.
I'm usually quite negative - I want to see 3-0 before I feel confident. I guess city away and the dippers will see where we are at.
Absolutely dominant performance. We really seem to be on a high and the team look hungry for it. The only problem is that while I can't see us dropping too many points, neither will Chelsea and they are still 7 points ahead. It looks like we are the only team too have give them any trouble. I knew those run of draws earlier in the season could be our undoing!

Obviously you have done well recently, but that is taking things a bit far I suspect. Arsenal are 1 point behind you and got a good scoring result today too, City win their game in hand and they're on the same points as you, and of course we (Liverpool) will go ahead if we win our game in hand. I suspect we will lose some more points with the players out/ dip in form we are going through, but do you think you won't have another dip/ some important injuries before the end of the season? To me it's very open at the moment.NRS said:

Oh it's very open, Liverpool if things go wrong could drop from 2nd to 5th over a weekend, it could just as easily happen here, that's what makes it so enthralling. I think the point being made was that we played Chelsea off the park but no one else seems to have that figured out and we've played them twice so are reliant on you lot taking the fight to them or them fking it up.JustinF said:

How come you've managed to work out how to play Chelsea off the park but not play all other teams off the park? If you had worked it out you'd be top of the league. To suggest you're the only team putting up a fight and the rest of the teams are a collective let down in the fight against the evil Chelsea is beyond hysterical. Is this the kind of delusional thinking that manifests in the minds of fans that have been deprived of a league title for more than half a century?Champions do it for themselves and don't rely on others.

Liverpool & Arsenal have taken as many points off Chelsea as your lot from one game less. They have done their "bit" already. Without doubt Spurs are on a cracking run of form BUT are still 7 points adrift. It shows the mountain they have to climb still. Sparkyhd said:

Several of us (well ok probably just me and Guvernator) were highlighting early in the season that we were drawing games where we had been dominant in the match. Everyone else was saying "it's ok we're unbeaten". But I still think our achilles heel is that we don't always manage to turn dominance and possession in to wins. We've drawn several games that we should have won based on the performance, and that's why we are where we are. It's so tight and turbulant behind Chelsea that in one round of games a team could gain or lose 3 places. The best we can say at the moment is that we are in the mix for a top 4 finish. We're having a good run but there's nothing we can do about Chelsea now. All we can try and do is win games when we're dominant and limit the damage when we have a bad day at the office.
Edit to add - The Tonghen injury looks bad, he's going to be out for a few weeks.

Absolute faultless performance yesterday i felt , I think the difference is that supporters of other teams are possibly a little scared of us & are now taking us a lot more serious than there were a few weeks ago.
We've had better individuals at the club but i have to say i think this is the best Spurs team i've ever seen.
Wanyama again yesterday was like a rock, nothing fancy nice n simple , he could well be the difference this season, What a spectacular buy he is turning out to be.
More of the same please fella's
So Happy being a Spud right now.
