A great performance today chaps, well done - I must admit I didn't think you had it in you and was expecting Celtic to win comfortably.

It was fking great. Bit concerned with the defence and the lack of penetration in the final third though.

But saying that we had guys out and we just pumped Septic from the 'big league'. We'll be stronger again next year, and they're going backwards fast.

They can add a new team from a diddy league to the illustrious list of Molde, Malmo and Ross County who've showed them how to play football this season. Although it was strange to see their end of Hampden full against a new team with no history, seem to remember it was half full for County...

Only here to see the Rangers. smile

So Joey Barton is now a Rangers player. I've never been a big fan of his general attitude/temperament, but willing to give him a chance. It's also quite a big statement from the club considering the type of signings we've been stuck with over the past 4 years.

I also love this quote from him in response to a reporter:

Reporter: "Brendan Rodgers had 10,000 fans turn up to greet him at Celtic park but Rangers fans haven't turned up in such great numbers, why is that?"

Joey Barton "Because Rangers fans are at their work".

He knows wink

Great signing for Rangers.

He's had a great season for Burnley and kept his nose clean.

Barton is such a hothead that I can see him getting sent off vs Celtic as he will get caught up in the emotion. WHen he plays football, he can be really good, but he needs to focus on playing football and not on twitter/social media.
Think he could be a good signing

Not someone i would have initially thought of as being a Warburton type of signing but we desperately need some steel and dig in the middle of the park.
If he keeps the head and does what he is good at i feel he could do a real job for us.

Great signing. Not been naughty for a long time iirc but will still have a bit of Ferguson like steel and drive in the middle.

Not concerned about Celtic in the slightest. If those games end with 22 on the park they haven't tried hard enough imo.

Didn't watch much (any) championship last year, and not seen much of Barton for a while. Will be interesting to see him in the pressure cooker not only of the Old Firm, but even the "run of the mill" games. He'll likely have a target on his back for a while due to previous rep.
