Playing "La Marseillaise" before this weekend's Prem games?
Discussion
....as another gesture of solidarity with French players and France generally. The Premier League clubs are apparently discussing this. Good idea or not?
Whilst this was entirely appropriate for the international against France on Tuesday, I don't think that is the case for club matches, even with many French players involved.

Ordinarily I would say that Wembley was enough
But they attacked us, us as in football fans, I think (for me) thats why its echoed so closely and more than other attacks, I have so many friends that attend football around the country without fail every weekend. As it was such a personal attack I feel it would be right

I don't understand this to be honest.
We never play our own national anthem before domestic games. If England had been playing any other nation this week would we have played the French national anthem before the game ?
I would rather a minutes silence as a respect to those butchered by terrorist scum in Paris.
The football world is united for once over this so no need for this overkill.

I think they should do this today at Premier League games then that should be it. At the end of the day, the only football people that have paid tribute publicly are the 70k fans at Wembley and the two squads plus a few odd games here and there.
The longer it goes on, it loses its impact IMO.

It's about time we had a national 'Eric Cantona' day in this country.
We go round attacking each other? No, he's a complete c*nt.As for the anthems, it was weird and out of place...understand the point but it didn't work for me.
