as a fan its awesome at the moment! (even if it is nigh on impossible to get tickets!

and whilst people keep thinking we cant win it and we will have our slump, or we havent played any 'big' teams yet, will just keep helping us.

big teams - we could lose to every single 'big 4 team' (only lost 1 so far) and we could still win the league as we have by far been the most consistant of all teams so far.

I do wonder how we will respond if we lose a couple of games, but we responded pretty well after Arsenal, that defeat caused a few things to change and we seem to be slowly improving game after game. Our midfield is just bossing everything, our defence is no longer leaking like a sieve, we have a group of players who all get along and believe in each other and have enough leaders in the team I think to deal with any 'slump'.

Last year was a big learning curve, and as much as I admire pearson for what he started to create at our club, and did a fantastic job at the end, I do believe we were in that position in the 1st place due to him also.

We have invested SO much into all the behind scenes parts and sports science which I dont think many teams will be matching which is now showing in our fitness levels and I believe the reason we are not suffering quite so many injuries some other teams are suffering with.

Obviously time will tell, but over the last few weeks I am not longer thinking like it will end at some point, and really getting behind 'the dream' and BELIEVE we could. Am I crazy? Probably, and I am sure someone will quote this post come May, but at this moment in time, all I see people say is we wont becuase we are Leicester, not really a very good reason when you look into things a bit deeper. Realistically it depends on injuries, and as to who steps up during those injuries, people like Shinji, Inler, Krameric etc all have great potential and Leo proved he has a good goalscoring ability last season, but has played a much different role this year and think with some regular game time would soon find the goals again.

And I think Vardy could keep this energy up for the rest of season, he's proved that already before. Mahrez has struggled in the past but is looking but sharper and fitter than he has done before.

Heres to the revolution! biggrin

As much as I would love to see Leicester win the league, I'd advise you to lower your expectations.

With regards to sports science and all the rest, there is simply no way you will be putting as much resource into that as the big, rich clubs.

If you are still in the title race in the last month or two, the pressure will really be on. Look back to Liverpool a couple of years ago. We had one of the best strikers in the world, another striker who was also one of the best in the league and even we couldn't do it with them..

Im not saying I expect us to win the league, anything top half Id be happy with, top 6 great, top 4 would be crazy. It just gets abit tedious when you read, no they wont win because its Leicester. with regards to sports science, I saw an article recently, I forget where, which was basically saying the behind the scenes efforts were as good as the clubs in the country, something other people will not expect us to be doing.

top strikers etc. mean nothing if the group of players collectively isn't working or dont believe in each other. Vardy, for as good as he has been, is not world class, in fact bar maybe marhrez and Kante I wouldnt say any of our players are truely world class, but as a team we are an absolute force at the moment and no one can deny that. you could have a team with the best player in the their position from around the world but if they dont work together they wont ever be that great?

I know its completely different, but everyone expected us to have a slump in our promotion season and we just never stopped (similar high tempo, high energy performances) which is why I dont worry about fitness too much, however as you say there will be more pressure with it being the premier league.

I just cant wait for every match at the moment and enjoy 'the dream'. yeh, it probably will come crashing down, but at the moment I haven't seen any argument to prove otherwise, to see us playing in the champions league next year would just down right silly though, however our global rebranding that the new owners are setting out is working a treat, just got back from a month in Vietnam, and everywhere I went with my shirt on people were shouting out leicester and vardy etc. very bizarre for a leicester fan! biggrin

You're only saying that because (I persume) you know Utd stand no chance of finishing top and it'll be either Arsenal or us (yet again smile ) who win laugh

If the team don't 'bottle it' once they realise that they can actually win it, IE if they are still in this position by say mid to late April, Then yes I don't see why not, On merit and style of play alone, they definately deserve it, If we don't win it (highly unlikely) then I would love them to do it.

Yes and no. Nobody knows if united will win it. I'll be torn. If we win it playing with style, I'll take that. If we do the way we are playing I'll say we didn't deserve it. I think it would be great for a Leicester to give these rich clubs a massive bloody nose. I think the whole of football would.

I have been impressed with Leicester this season and I hope they can keep a challenge going as its refreshing for the league. If no players leave in the winter window I think they can atleast push for top 4. I imagine Mahrez will be in huge demand thou.

I remember seeing Leicester at the Brit when Stoke where 2-0 up. Bang Leicester pulled it back to 2-2 and I remember thinking, Jesus they worked so hard and wanted that result in the second half. That was pretty much Leicester for the first 10 games or so. Slow starts and strong finishes, now thou they start strong and dont concede. In my eyes they are getting better.

Well done Leicester nice to see a change, keep it up.

Well put.
The billionaires, mall owners and Arabs have screwed the game up.
Good luck to the Foxes!

Another shift put in today, possiblybthebhatdrst game of the season so far, and 1st game with a couple of important people missing.

Can't see anyone important leaving in January, we don't need any amount of money and I can't imagine anyone wanting to leave the club at the moment either.

I hope Leicester do win the league.

I enjoy watching them and it would be the anthesis of all the teams that buy their way.

Saying that as a Chelsea fan.

I'm an Arsenal fan but live in Leicestershire (before anyone says anything I moved here from London 18 years ago).

All the Leicester fans I know are amazed by what's happened this season. Even as we go in to Christmas with Leicester top they still refuse to acknowledge they are in a title race.

I off course want Arsenal to win the league , however I can't deny it would be fabulous to see a new name at the top a totally unfancied team. It would also be one in the eye for the Man City & Chelea who spend 100s of millions trying to kill competition in the premier league.

There's no doubt in my mind Leicester can win it and part of me wants them too.

Don't let anyone rob you of your dreams, Rib. Stranger things have happened in football and if you can't dream about your team being successful, there's little point in following the team.

What is going on this year?

I was going to start a new thead but this seems to be a good place as any to ask..

...what the hell is going on this year?

"Big" teams like United, Chelski, Liverpool struggle and sack "big" name manages while their handsomely paid superstars fanny around on the pitch. Even City aren't immune.

Meanwhile the unfancied "small" teams sail high, beat anyone, lead the league with barely any money (relatively) but fantastic team spirit?

Is this the seeds of mental wages finally taking flower? Of the pigeons of bonkers TV deals and players who only play for a paycheque coming home to roost?

Is there something behind it all or is it just one mental season and we'll all be back to normal next year?

The clubs are all relatively a lot closer to each other than as recently as five years ago.

Yes, some teams are more talented than others on paper but the game ain't played on paper.

With a decent plan well drilled against certain teams and players wishing to bust a gut for the team, you can achieve incredible things, see Leicester this season. 2/3 players fit and playing well consistently makes a hell of a difference. Confidence can breed success.

Then you get an out-of-date ideas man like LvG with some possession bks philosophy and your game goes to st ...

Add in he's a stubborn fecker and a board unwilling to make snap decisions and you can fall behind, quickly.

The last team that went from rock bottom to top of the world in the space of a year:

I hope Leicester stick one in the eye to the big boys and I have all the same emotions as when Brawn kicked some ass, such a lovely feeling!

Even if they don't win the league just the mere possibility of Leicester City Vs Barcelona is amazing enough.

Although we know that the biggest plus of Leicester winning the league and all the resultant exposure is that Americans may finally learn to pronounce Leicester Square properly.
