I think what he has done almost every player will do - move for the money.

Unless they are a boyhood fan or brought up by the club i can't ever see a really sincere reason why they would join the club apart from cash and the potential for exposure.

With regards to Teixiera I actually don't think he was the right player for us at this time and if he starts smashing 30 goals a season in China I hope we keep our balance of good he is.

I'm really pleased we didn't capitulate and pay the cash - and it seems to be the right move right now

Seriously, an uncapped 26 year old is never worth that kind of money. The Chinese club must have some really dodgy money they need to spend or something. You do wonder if the player had much say in it, or whether it was just Shakhtar's dodgy boss happy to take the asking price from anyone and pushing him out of the door.
