Huge game for us on thurs, however a simple 3-0 will do nicely this time, can't cope with any more BVB style games!

I think the Leicester thing is brilliant but I fear for them - some of their team will get stripped out over the summer to big clubs, the ones that remain have had seasons of their lives and not sure they can each do it again and so many times Leicester didn't win by big margins.

I actually think with the extra games next year, weight of expectation and key players gone they might even be relegation fodder.

I don't wish it but do fear it for them.
Why do you think they'll get stripped of their p[layers? They are not under pressure to sell.

Multi Millionaire owner from the far east that's making a fortune selling Leicester as champions to the Asian market.
Seeded Champions League team guaranteed loads of money for CL appearances
TV money will go through the roof
Massive Income from the new Sky deal.
Low wage levels and no debt, haven't had to pay through the nose for non delivering prima donnas like the 'top 6' clubs have done.
Stadium full to capacity every game next year.
A proven record of not needing to buy in massive names to win the EPL.
A manager that's signed until retirement
The current team didn't even have a PL winning bonus structure payment negotiated FFS! (although rumour has it Ranieri has a £5million bonus due....)

If anything, they will be buying in new talent, not losing what they've got. Another club to compete with in buying talent more like.
We'll see. Never under estimate a players greed.

It only takes 2 of the players renowned this season to leave and it won't be nearly as strong.

PSG, Real, Barc, Bayern heck even Man U, Man City and Juve could be an allure for players who would only have dreamed about that 9 months ago.

A good Euros for some of them and the bidding starts and it'll run. The agents will suddenly see a big payday and start digging in.

Like I said, I'm happy to be wrong but I just have this feeling.

Anyway, back to LFC -

Thurs for anyone going, get to the king Harry for 6pm again... sun is going to be shining so lets welcome the boys in with a sea of Red....

Good news that Can looks like he will be back ... rumours are he was looking to bring DS off on Sat with an eye on Thurs so I think he may be starting him (hope so) we need the killer instinct up front...and he is the best..

Aarrrggghh, let us enjoy it for a few days at least before we start worrying about what's to come laugh

Mahrez and Kante will attract a lot of interest no doubt, and although we may not need to sell, if they want to go then we may do more harm than good by trying to stop them.

I understand Kante has a release clause in his contract, £20m I think, even though he was signed on a 4 year deal, so he has the option to go should he wish.

I'd like to think they'll want to stay and enjoy the CL with us next year, but if one of the big clubs comes calling then I can't really blame them. It's their career after all and they need to take advantage of the high points when they come.

I also saw Dembele gob in his hand and then throw the contents straight at Costa. Pretty horrid behaviour.
That was Walker after a fracas with Costa, looked like snot not gob, or may even have been blood as Walker had a bloody nose soon after

I can understand the spuddies not being too apologetic about the bad fouls, much better to give all and let their passion spill over than meekly lose as they have so often at Chelsea, but the eye gouge and Walker incident were pretty unpleasant and indefensible.

As a neutral (well an ABC) I found the game great fun

yes

Saw that too. Definitely blood as he wiped his nose, looked at it and then flicked it in Costas direction before going to the bench for a towel.

Possibly the first time I have ever agreed with John Terry. May need to take a tablet.

Nice to see a good old fashioned London derby livening this place up.

Quite agree...so very dull and boring
You wouldn't think we were playing in a European Semi Thurs...maybe that's not as big as able as Spurs/Chelsea for some

Indeed. Might even get to see some decent football tomorrow night rather than the thuggery seen earlier in the week.

Is Can definitely back? Be a nice boost if so.

I think starting a Sturridge with a point to prove of sorts would be a great move. Even if he doesn't score he will certainly occupy the thoughts and minds of the defenders. If they don't pay him enough attention he will score.

Can back would be a massive boost.

I guess Toure and Lovern at the back? Sketel i am sure will be moved on this summer

You seem to be having a good old scrap over on the "thread of welcome and good old banter" so maybe we decided to not add to it!

Chuffed Can is back, he was excellent in both BVB legs and we need him for European games, is Origi definitely out for rest of season?

Well the hospitality renewal is out, gone up 5% which is "ok" but you now have to pay for it by 25/5 and pay for next season 2017/2018 by January 2017 ie 5 months before the previous season finishes. No new benefits and the guaranteed final ticket that is part of the package is no longer guaranteed.

It will be interesting to see how many new faces I see around me next season!

Sounds like they're trying to get two years season ticket renewals into one financial year - probably to help pay for the stadium.

SSN reporting that Klopp is trying to "lure Joe Hart to Anfeild"
.... Can't see much truth in that, or why he would leave City to join us?

Most bizarre one I've heard for a while?
