Sakho going out on loan it seems - anyone have any idea what's going on?!

Don't worry, there are rumours that Origi can fill in at centre back.

The article I saw mentioned his injuries over the summer, the misdemeanour in the USA of course, and general "not being able to be match fit yet" as the reason why Klopp was pondering a loan move for him. From that we should assume Sakho hasn't, or is unable to, show any form in training as yet. If that's the case, however much people rate him on here, he shouldn't be near the first team yet.

Sounds like he needs to become a little bit more professional.

Seems odd that this is all coming to light now. Has he been a model professional until the USA trip or has Klopp just bided his time while he was performing last season? Can't imagine Klopp has any patience for such things - these people are paid more in a year than any of us will ever see and lead a privileged existence. The least they can do is get on with it.

Sorry but taking fat burning pills for is not professional. Run faster, train harder, cut out junk. It is simple really. What kind of example is he setting the youngsters who look up to him? Equally turning up late to training, to the airport etc is simply not professional either and then pranking around on a video camera. Show your professional commitment, channel your energy on how to improve your game and your performances...

But when a first teamed acts the prat he gets sent to train with the reserves or U21's - loaning is a whole different plot entirely

Another Henderson "highlights" package vs Burton Albion.

He spends a lot of the time playing the ball backwards instead of forward. I also think he made two useful contributions; through ball to Lallana and an interception in the 2nd half in which he tries to play Origi through (I think). The rest, well....

In the role he's trying to fulfil he is garbage. In a 3 man midfield he is the presser/runner. Any other role and whilst the lad is a trier, he is just nowhere near the quality that we need.

I really would happily sell Henderson and Lucas and buy someone else.

I agree. The lad is a trier. Pay me 100k a week and I will happily give the same effort. He can't shoot, he can't defend, he can't even pass. But he can out-stare Costa! God knows how he is our captain as he has the leadership qualities of a doughnut! The comments in this article which is about Mane would seem to suggest most fans are now losing patience and starting to feel the same way...

Nah, we'll just sign another attacking midfielder to replace him.

Good confidence building game

Need Mane, Studridge and Can to start against the self-proclaimed Worlds Best XI
No way even those three can beat the world's best goalkeeper. Apparently they are going to tie one arm behind his back to give us a chance.

That won't be enough, perhaps with both hands tied behind his back and pointy stick shoved in his eye?

Completely agree and if he had been fit against Burnley I reckon things would have gone differently.

Is there any correlation between the time that a great young prospect turns into a useless waster and when they are suddenly earning big bucks?

Do they become useless overnight after getting the big contract extension, perhaps losing their determination to succeed, perhaps thinking they are bigger deals than they really are? Do they lose the hunger?

We might have scored. Doubt Mane would have provided the midfield cover from them scoring two.

Mane is a very good signing. I just wish we had someone decent to step in when he is out injured or needs resting.

Every individual is different. In the case above, in my view he has always been a very average player. So no correlation required in his case. For others it is not and never has been about the money. Look at Keane or Suarez... they are driven by the desire to be the best and give their all and above all have the desire to improve. Suarez when he first joined us was not a world beater... he was good but he put in the hard yards and it has paid off. He just has that inner desire that drives him to become better. Few people have it; and the ability to raise the games of players around them.

It's sad, and rather expensive but I'm glad the club have taken the stance they have with Mario. He's not a good influence on proceedings and not good enough. I was one of few who had relatively decent expectations but as always he left those who had faith in him down. Being forced to train on his own would normally be an eye opener for a professional footballer, with Mario I'm not so sure.
