Nice to get a footballer's insight. If we can get that more times than not, we'll do ok This one is key
"They’ve now scored 24 goals in eight competitive fixtures, the club's best tally at this stage for 121 years. Most significantly, the goals are spread between ten players"
And that includes playing Chelsea, Spurs & Tottenham, (and Leicester) so not exactly a run of mediocre teams

Here is another good stat for someone so many wrote off who is now coming into his own in his new role

1. What will we do against a side who can pass around/through our press and press well themselves?
That's probably Spurs, Arsenal and City and we've already played 2 of those 3.phil_cardiff said:
2. There were players visibly tired by 70 mins on Saturday and it's only September. Can we maintain this intensity?
A 7 min teaser of Klopp on MNF...
- He likes David Silva!
- Biggest ambition? To play football that we like to remember. (He acknowledges that what everyone actually wants to hear is that is win to the league but he is tempering the excitement).
- Best moment in football - last half hour at Anfield against Dortmund.

Fascinating insight, could listen to the bloke all night. No more talk of formations either, he doesn't give a toss.

And there was me thinking HR and GG were a tag team in the style of the Heart Foundation. Obviously GG fancied himself as the Hitman, never met HR but I'm thinking there's a little beard type thing going on with his pink open faced helmet...
I'd have thought Ings would have got some pitch time by now, even if it was for 10 minutes here and there. Of all our strikers I think Ings is the most natural fit for playing the way Klopp sets his team out. Looking forward to seeing him play.
I thought Can and Grujic both looked very rusty and off the pace when they came on at the weekend. Players need to play at a genuine competitive level, No amount of training, reserve games, under 23 or whatever is going to prepare them. With our lack of games this season it will be interesting to see how Klopp manages this.

Ings has been out for a year; he needs regular game time right now and I think playing in the U23's is perfect for him just to play football again after being out for such a long time. Let him score goals again, let him get that warm feeling of just being on a pitch again and he will naturally progress back to the first team.
Can and Grujic are obviously just coming back from injury. First team are playing well - they will have to wait their chance and they will get it if we pick up injuries or inevitably need to rest players. They are young enough too that the best part of their careers are still ahead of them too. In the meantime, if keeping their match fitness up is playing in the U23's, then so be it.

Klopp answered question 2 last night. Apparently we have more posession, on average, than any other team in the league which allows us to maintain our intensity.
One thing LPool have done this season while having that possession is not have it for its own sake, ala Van Fail last year at Man U ... no good having it if there if all you do is aimlessly knock it sideways for 10mins and wins on possession stats.LPool DO get it forward quicker, they spot that gap or space between the lines (caused by great movement in the frontp layers) and make that pass ... Utd had no movement last season (they don't have a lot this season) ...
