I hate watching anything he did in a red shirt now after the way he left. Yes, great goal. All went sour.

I've thawed out slightly since he went back to Spain. That and the fact some other bigger called Suarez came along. Btw I have a hardly worn, perfect condition Liverpool champions league jersey with Torres 9 on the back. Both rarities these days :-(

Any footballer wanting to go & play in China has got to be a worth giving the swerve.

Was he? The ball is already in your half, as is the striker, and he's standing outside your area. He isnt coming forward to get the ball, and in the photo he has already retreated to this position. He retreats but never fast enough. I think he was stood far further out than a really good keeper would stand., and for no reason.

Vardy's strike was world class. Absolutely brilliant. But as he said In the interview on Sky sports and was repeated on MOTD, he had seen Mingolet being out of position previously during the build up to the goal.

He's standing outside your area whilst Vardy is running onto the long ball.
Have to agree, its his biggest weakness, his positioning is awful. He often gets beaten near post because he leaves it too open and his starting position there is a joke.

I just have to remember the quotes from Torres about "joining a big club" when he left. Tosser.

Agreed. They may as well release a statement saying "I have no ambitions other than to earn a lot of money"

I don't think it does. No football club should be referring to fans as customers! Ever!

Let's say it's a meeting to increase merchandise sales. Turning fans into customers would be a perfectly reasonable phrase IMO.

Not for me. A customer is just a number, a fan has attachment. Fans are the life blood of sports teams and shouldn't be looked at as cash cows to milk every drop of revenue out of them.

This 100% London

They are trying to sell to Liverpool dream to millions to enjoy the day when they go, to see the flags waving, the fans singing etc the more they want customer, the less real fans will go and all of a sudden what was once great about Liverpool FC is no more....
They have managed to secure a top top manager who is doing his best to get the fans back on side, to get them singing again but he is fighting against his employers as soon there wont be any fans in their that know the songs, create the atmosphere and make what can be great about LFC.....

Clicking on the Liverpool link inside this Fenway marketing group link shows some nice pictures of Sturridge eating healthily ! dear oh dear .

Liverpool seem to be just another money making spinner for these American owners.

Sadly this seems the way with all of our much loved football teams.

Fans have always been cash cows. No professional sports team can survive without fans cash. It's an emotive subject, I agree, but football, now more than ever, is a business. Always has been.

You say that but they haven't (yet) taken a penny out of the club whilst they've invested a lot of their own money into the club. Under their ownership we've also increased commercial revenues and we're one of the top 10 richest clubs in the world.

He's standing outside your area whilst Vardy is running onto the long ball.
Not sure why you are showing that pic, has no relevance to where he was when he shot, he was on his 6 yard line, he got and up and under perfect..just let it be a brilliant goal

All keepers hover around edge of their area when the ball is in the opposition half, Vardy ran onto a long ball and dispatched it perfect 99/100 it hits row Z
Only because of what Vardy says in his interview Sye, he said he was "looking all game at him quite far off his line". If the opposition say your keeper is out of position regularly during the game, enough so that he can plan such a strike when he gets an opportunity, then he has a point, no?

I just don't think he recovered his position fast enough because he was caught napping outside way outside his box, when he wasn't participating in the play.

Fantastic goal. Anyway, I think Mingolet is excellent, just sometimes seems to lose concentration.....
Yes - Mignolet either comes to close the space when the pass is made, or retreats. If he'd come out he may have got the ball because Vardy shoots from only a yard or two outside penalty area and the pass to him is lofted and carries in in the air for ages. When Mignolet retreats he then stops away from his line and gets lobbed, this wasn't a pinpoint strike in to the far corner, it goes over his head!

If the Vardy says keeper is too far off his line and then lobs one in - that goes over his head -....then he was too far off his line.

Fantastic strike, well planned

Exactly. I'm perfectly happy with their ownership. They aren't the best in the world but they are a long way from the worst. They've backed every manager generously and are redeveloping the ground.

I'm just wary of that screenshot becoming a cause célèbre to deride the owners in light of recent events regarding pricing. I'm sure that page was there long before the ticket announcement, and no one had a problem with it. Now it seems it's going to be used, out of context, to slate FSG.
