I was going to say...
I watched Villa Real's game at the weekend and other than the first 20 mins, they looked st. Thought we would smash them. But they played the whole game tonight like they did in the 1st 20 mins at the weekend.
And we played like I did't think we were capable of... not exciting for long periods, but really solid, controlled football. We made plenty of half chances, just to really good ones.
Pretty happy with that overall.
... Then they scored, In the 92nd minute.

Dullsville, Arizona. I had a stream on but mainly listened to the commentary and surfed other things. Dull. More than capable of winning the return but we need to turn up to do that. Current form would indicate we might well turn up. We'll see. Despite beating Dortmund and enjoying a great game, I find it hard to get interested in this season now - looking forward more to August.

Not too unhappy with a 1-0 loss, nothing that can't be overturned at Anfield.
A 1-0 loss in itself is not too bad, but I didn't like the way we went about it. Fair enough if he didn't want to risk going with Sturridge straight away, but we had some good possession around 10 minutes into the second half. If we had Sturridge on then I think we would have got a goal. We were just too conservative up front today. Then stick Benteke on at the end? Has Sturridge done something to annoy Klopp? Sturridge is our only properly proven goalscorer. He may not run around as much as Klopp wants, but to not use someone who knows where the net is and then potentially "upset" him by sticking someone who is useless in the game ahead of you is not the best decision in my opinion.

Well, Klopp has got us this far, I'm happy to trust his judgement on these decisions.
Was just thinking the same....he got the tactics all wrong ? I assume we play the way he wants, the buck stops with him after all. So what do we all think about Sturridge still being here next season? Is he part of Klopp's long term plans?
Always makes me wonder when players start to give interviews like the one below:

He's not warning Klopp, that's just poor journalism. He's saying the kinds of things a manager like Klopp wants to hear. The only way he'd be going is if Klopp thinks it's worth cashing in for funds to buy someone he wants. Does Klopp think he works hard enough I suppose...only Klopp knows. I doubt Sturridge wants to leave, whatever sky are insinuating.
