Surely our qualification for Europa isn't assured? We could still have no Europe next season which for the hospitality corp sales on the new stand would not be good.

Ojo needs to look up and play in other team mates rather that trying to beat every player.

Good header and they deservedly take the lead. Agree with you DS; I am bit disappointed that we are not looking to finish the league stronger than we are. 5th would a very good finish in what has been a transitional season and was still realistic prior to this game starting.

Amat should have scored there - what terrible positioning and defending by Lovren. Still not 100% convinced by him.

We are going get hammered at this rate. Think I will go out for a run - no point watching this nonsense.

This experiment hasn't worked, midfield way to lightweight and inexperienced! needs to get Lucas or Allen on now and make some changes.

Klopp is way off message here, this is a huge mistake after the events of last week he oversees LFC get absolutely hammered with a under strength selection. Not happy at all.

Couldn't give a crap about today's result if we go through Thursday.

He's not warning Klopp, that's just poor journalism. He's saying the kinds of things a manager like Klopp wants to hear. The only way he'd be going is if Klopp thinks it's worth cashing in for funds to buy someone he wants. Does Klopp think he works hard enough I suppose...only Klopp knows. I doubt Sturridge wants to leave, whatever sky are insinuating.
It's pretty clear Klopp is not playing him in the big games. Didn't see the game today, but playing Sturridge in that team and not in Europe effectively says he is a second team player. Whether it is a message for his attitude (which we don't see) or not remains to be seen, but it cannot be something that Sturridge wants now. Klopp may have made some good choices and got us to the semis in the Europa League, but I don't think it's a good thing to do with our only properly proven striker.

I will stick with Klopps decisions for now, if DS wants to be first choice then he needs to earn it

I would say he has earned it over Benteke or to be honest Firmino recently.

Anyone else think Klopp is going for boom or bust with the Europa League?! Either we win that and get CL next season, or we play the kids in the league for the last few games, give them some experience, see which will make it, but finish outside European places and give ourselves some fixture relief next season to have a better shot at top four?

Exactly that Jammy, we're effectively 2 wins from the CL. Why wouldn't we go all or nothing on that? Ok the Europa would be a nice fallback but injuries don't permit going full throttle on both league & cup fronts

We can't get 4th in the League so that options gone.

It's all about the Cup now.

Klopp has said he's managing his fitness. When Sturridge first got back fit, Klopp said it would be a carefully managed process, aimed at getting him robust and fit, in effect.

Yep, I'd agree. Happy to go with Klopp's opinion to be honest. It will be interesting to see which youngsters can step up and prove they should be kept. He needs to know who to ship out and make way, after all.

Having just watched Match of the Day, I was more impressed with Ward than I was with Sturridge (narrowly).

So, Dembele caught on camera eye gougeing Costa...

Suarez got a 10 game ban for biting, if we are expecting consistency from the FA (no laughing at the back!) , surely he has to be banned for an equal length of time?
