I haven't see the eye gouge in this case, but surely the consequences are much more likely to be worse on an eye gouge? Much easier to cause permanent damage with a finger in the eye compared to a bite.

I agree, but then I don't think there was much force behind Dembele's eye gouge. But then, Suarez didn't break the skin on either of his bites either, so...

Surely there should be an automatic amnesty for any act of foul play committed against Costa?

Fabregas should be ashamed of himself, the way he reacted to having his hand trodden on was a complete embarrassment.

Having said that, I am bored of all the Leicester coverage now.

Having said that, I am bored of all the Leicester coverage now.

I think the Leicester thing is brilliant but I fear for them - some of their team will get stripped out over the summer to big clubs, the ones that remain have had seasons of their lives and not sure they can each do it again and so many times Leicester didn't win by big margins.

I actually think with the extra games next year, weight of expectation and key players gone they might even be relegation fodder.

I don't wish it but do fear it for them.

The current team didn't even have a PL winning bonus structure payment negotiated FFS! (although rumour has it Ranieri has a £5million bonus due....)

If anything, they will be buying in new talent, not losing what they've got. Another club to compete with in buying talent more like.

Wasn't actually that much of an 'eye gouge' to be fair, if you watch Costa's reaction, his hand goes up to his other eye....!!!!!

Neither official appears to have seen the incidents therefore they will get retrospective action.

Agreed. Given a choice between a nibble on the shoulder or a thumb in the eye, I know which I'm taking.

Gouging is pretty near the top of the st list for the RFU. Dembele should be looking at a lengthy ban there. And a month's wages to an appropriate charity.

To be fair, watching the "highlights" the officials didn't really act on what they did see.

It takes a lot to make Chelsea look like the 2nd dirtiest team on the pitch but Spurs seem to have done it. Saying that, Costa really seems to have a mental disability.

Anyway, congrats to Leicester and I think that we will beat Villarreal 2-0 on thursday.
