Really? Never... Milner and Benteke wear our number 7 and number 9 shirts. How could we improve on talent like this?

No one in their right mind would want to build on this squad. What's the saying about polishing a turd?
I'd wager that both will be here at the start of next season.

Watching MoTD it's depressing how much better Leicester, Spurs and Utd have played tonight compared to us.

You can't polish one, but you can roll it in glitter.

I can share your disappointment that performances under Klopp are worse than under Brendan but I reckon he will get it right and am looking forward to next season.
I am going skiing next week then there's the 6 nations so can turn a bit of blind eye to the next bit of the season.

I used to be on the board of the Agency that looks after Jamie Vardy - no one had him down as being likely to have a season like this! It's a great story.

Braver man than me
Benteke will be sold if we find buyer at right price
Milner might be kept but as squad player as there is no real Value in him

The thing we need to remember is that performances are likely to get any better any time soon whilst we're playing a game every 3 days, because there simply isn't any time to do any real training. It's all just recovery and fitness and preparation for the next game.

As a Leicester fan I think we deserved that tonight.

As for LFC, IMO you need a commanding CB, a skillful winger and a striker. It's hard to buy world class players when you're not in Europe, although you'd like to think Klopp can get a couple of his BVB old boys in as they know him and his style of play. Once you get your players back from injury you'll have a much better team.

Absolutely, stunning performance from your boys tonight. I think most of the league are cheering you on now.

Absolutely! You look so dangerous with even a sniff of a chance, and you're players consistently pull the trigger and put shots on target. Who'd have thought that having lots of shots on target would be a good thing eh? smile

What a great footballing story if you guys win it!

As for us, I can't deny being a bit gutted, not to mention surprised at some of our poor results recently.

Klopp advocates evolution not revolution.

As for Benteke because we paid so much for him, I don't think we will receive any offers close enough to make it viable to sell him. I reckon we'd want £25M for him at least, so I fear we may be stuck with him.

Look at it this way... He can only improve! With getting more settled, getting some confidence back, and with a full pre season under his belt, we may see the player we thought we were buying.

I think there are a number of mid-table teams that would happily bid £20-25m for him, especially with the TV money coming in. Newcastle maybe, West Ham always take our rejects.

How much time does Euro 2016 take up of the pre-season?
I agree that will be vital

It's possible but I honestly think Klopp would like to turn him around. He's that kind of manager.

Any positives we can take from last night's game guys?

- Mignolet pulled off two cracking saves
- Dominated large parts of the game (though not offering any real goal threat)

I see Jackson Martinez has left Atleti to go to China. Having him here seemed an attractive idea not so long back. I guess we've got a better idea now over whether he's motivated by competing to try and win anything meaningful or just trousering a fat payslip.

Interesting graphic, that. I wonder where those numbers come from? All squads? First team squad only? And how big are the 1st team squads there?

Does anyone know if the lad signed from Belgrade is the type to start immediately or another one for the future?
