If you missed it last night, Liverpool FC are closer to a deal for Southampton FC's Sadio Mané. Their current offer totals £30 million!

Wont happen now post Brexit. We are stuck with homegrown players. Let's hope Henderson finds some form.

Poor old Southampton, once again being picked clean of their best talent (players and management) by the "bigger" clubs :-(

This is how the elite stay the elite.

At least Leicester seem to be holding together.

‪#‎ThatMomentWhen‬ You realise Raheem Sterling isn't the worst performing Sterling this month.

They said they wouldn't consider anything over £4 million.

So post Brexit, will we see the Bowman ruling rescinded for transfers within the home FA's. Or will the status quo remain.p

What do people think about the potential Mane signing, if it does now go ahead? Another young player with potential, that fits the FSG model and our style of play. Could be a very good signing. We are however losing Toure and Skrtel which means a a lot of experience going out of the door; signing lots of young players is great but should we be looking to acquire a few leaders which for me has been lacking for a few years ever since Gerrard and Carragher left? Otherwise in some games when we require that little bit of nous and knowhow, we will come up short again. Not saying that Klopp isn't in the market for one but for me that is what this team is really missing as of right now.

He can certainly add goals to our team, probably best to ask the southampton boys about him that sometimes pop in here ?

Having watched Gotze closely this Euro, not sure he is the player we need....so this could be a better option, although the name is not as fancy which is what a lot of fans like....

Electric pace, rubber legs and magnetic feet, but suspect temperament, a tendency towards laziness and lacking a killer finish. Reminds me of a trickier, but less clinical, Faustino Asprilla, for those who remember him. I don't know whether he has a penchant for carrying firearms into night-clubs, though...

If the above seems to be damning with faint praise, well perhaps it is, but I would love Southampton to hang on to him, which looks extremely unlikely; alas another summer of exits appears on.

Would be nice to see some home grown academy lads given a chance.

Mane on his day is unplayable but he has tendencies to drift in and out of games.
Seems to have problems with team meetings as he has been fined and dropped twice for turning up late !!
He has 2 years left on his contract so will cost you a lot of money if you really want him !
Word is that his agent has a big influence over him.

Ta. Doesn't really sound like the kind of guy Klopp would want, from that. Ah well, we will see.

Goetze...well watching the Euros, I can see why Bayern don't seem too bothered about keeping him. Then again, Lewandowski has had a bad tournament and you wouldn't say he was a bad player.

Yeah doesn't sound like the player Klopp would go for; suspect temperment, laziness and lacking a killer finish sounds like another Italian deja vu! Klopp likes to mould young players but £30m begins to sound like a risk based on the above!
