I dont think any one needs reminding about them.....I still believe Benteke is a 30m player tbh, just in a team that plays to his strengths...... he has done it for years in a Villa team that does, he is just not a Klopp player...

I think Mane is a good signing, huge potential. He played really well against us, but so too did Bogdan.

This is my only reservation about Mane - if he steps up to another level then he'll have been a great buy. If he's pretty much reached his full potential already then he's just an 'OK' buy - for £30m!But regardless of price, even buying from the Premier League has shown that there is no guarantee that they'll continue to perform at the level that has led to us buying them.
I do think he'll be a good signing for us though, but I'm just not sure if he's the type of signing that will help us consistently get top four.

hhhm not sure i agree, we were seriously lacking in our squad pace and power from behind the front man...on top of that he consistently scores 1 in 3 and assists in high numbers..not sure how our squad can afford not to have that ? he is a totally different type of player to anyone else we have in the squadI do think he'll be a good signing for us though, but I'm just not sure if he's the type of signing that will help us consistently get top four.

I was too but having watched him a bit closer at the Euro I am convinced we dont need him,, we have to many players who like to play in the middle we need width, pace, power and a goal threat which Mane gives us...jammy_basturd said:

I think the one player we are missing is a real dominating midfielder. I am not sure who that is but we need someone who can control the middle of the park, add that bit of steel, the players can be inspired by and look to. We have a lot of pace in the team but lack that physical presence. type-r said:

Agreed. I remember when Souness went. We ended up replacing him with a combo of Molby and McMahon. Both decent but Souness was a one off.We can say the same for Gerrard. A once in a generation type player, I guess.

We dont have much pace in our 1st 11 for me?? who you thinking Sturridge ? Moreno? thats it But I agree we do need someone else in the middle to fight with Hendo
