Klopp has given a few reasons why the performance was lacking last night so I wouldn't read too much into it.

I don't know what we have to do to win. We played well today!

I really dont think any were his fault tbh, maybe could have been more controlling on the one I think Wisdom should have gone for but to call him out against Roma is just easy pickings for me .. he is anything but a regular bad keeping, he just has lapses in concentration .... which lets him down badly

I am not reading to much into the result as we ended up with Wisdom and Stewart as CB's the whole 2nd half... but Lovren was bad 1st half, got bullied and out of position a lot again.

No-one said a word (quite rightly) when Karius cocked up mightily in his debut. The constant getting on Mignolet's back at the slightest thing is getting a bit boring. If he fks up when the season starts, and gifts Arsenal a goal, complain then.

Dead legs must be different things these days, didn't these hurt like a bugger for 5 mins and then you run it off and crack on?

They're making too much fuss of that dead leg - Klopp said after the game "he's not injured, he just had a dead leg" or words to that effect.

Doesn't stop the need for a new left back though...

Yep. But I think those were also the days where, if you went down, it was the result of a collision which rendered you physically unable to stay on your feet. Not because 'there was contact'. That being my most hated phrase in football.

Mignolet has never commanded his box well. He's also indecisive at coming off his line and his distribution is woeful. These things won't change I think unfortunately.

I think it is obvious that we need a genuine defensive midfielder to slot in next to Cann and neither Milner nor Henderson are specialist enough for this role whilst Lucas is (and I'm a fan) not of the quality we need. As for a left back. If we don't buy one now we will at Xmas or next summer. Moreno, Milner, Clyne maybe Gomez just seems too light for me.

There are 2 more signings left for this to be a genuine Klopp team. I'm sure he'll get there over the next window or two.

I do agree on 2 more, I do really think though he has vision of Can and Wijnaldum playing behind a 3 of either Firminio, Coutinho, Lallana, or Mane

It would be nice though to have that option of a out and out DM in certain games...maybe why he is now wanting Lucas to stay

And how many points will you have 'lost' by being weak in that position cos Klopp didn't make the change?

I think Lucas staying isn't enough. Can is an obvious starter and from what I've seen of him he is a genuine box to box midfielder. Not sure about Wijnaldum but from what I've seen he doesn't look like defensive midfield is his strength. If anything I think he's another one that will compete to play in the 3 attacking midfield roles.

Maybe Henderson will get a chance next to Can.

Can see it, our 1st team for me will be

Sturridge or Origi

Coutinho Firmino Mane

Can Wijnaldum

Moreno Sakho/Lovren Matrip/Karius Clyne
Mignolet

I dont think there will be a sitting CM as such I think it will be the job of both Can and Mijnaldum to cover the other if they go...
