2 games in and we've seen the best and worst of last season. No invention today, little creativity, poor defending and poor shooting.

So clearly we'll turn Spurs over 3-5 next time...

Worth persevering with yes, I don't doubt things will come good. Won't get 5 years though - 2 or 3 seasons without anything at most.
The defence is improving - we kept a clean sheet that half.

(and it's it's not its if we are being pedantic)

There you go everyone, play 4-4-2, stick 9 behind the ball and counter attack 3-5 times a game. That's how easy we are to beat.

To be honest I am also starting to think Klopp isn't as good as we hope he is.

He came in knowing the defense was our weakest position and all he has done is try and improve the attack ( which obviously hasn't worked ).

After pre-season and 2 games I already think we will struggle to finish top 6.

Klopp is the Emporer's new clothes.
Time is needed. Yes this is not a good result but this is a team that is still getting to k oe each other, will take time for the understanding to bed in. I still think we lack a real leader in this team - but it is way to early to even syart to wtite of Klopp. A knee-jerk reaction if I ever saw one.

It was - no doubt the This Is Anfield facebook feed is now full of tts saying "fk off klop!#£$".

We'll have a far better idea of how good THIS team is by xmas with a good few games under our belt.

I think we should be expecting more from our attacking players today. When we're playing teams that defend in numbers, and there will be quite a few that do, we really need players like Sturridge, Firmino and Coutinho (like last week) to step up and show us something special. Unfortunately they couldn't even get the basics right today.

20th August and some Liverpool fans are already questioning the credentials of their manager.

YNWA? Most ironic thing in football.

And yet Liverpool has a massive reserve of potential managers. Only team I know where every fan seems to know better.

Hilarious.

Hasn't it been like this for the last 5 years at least?

He is no better than Brenda.

At least you're spared the embarrassment of his ridiculously over the top celebrations this week, though.

I have a mate who says the same thing.

I really don't think so, but the performances say different.

I for one think he is worth persevering with for the long haul. And by that I mean 5yrs.
Not made my mind up about him yet, really need a top 4 and a cup this season with no European campaign to contend with otherwise he should be shown the door.

I really hope he is up to the job but I'm not convinced by his signings apart from Mane.

Perhaps it's better to have a crap result or two in August whilst the transfer window is still open..... .?

Klopp defends Moreno, but drops him, then plays Milner, but it's obvious he cannot play left back, so what now? So much went down the left and was wasted or Milner just cuts back inside and plays a ball to Henderson etc.

It will be a real problem for the rest of the season if the left back position isn't sorted this window.

And for those who joke about Real or Barca signing Coutinho, today was a classic example of why they won't - he's still not consistent enough.

But that's a problem across the whole team, consistency. Some games we look amazing, others completely st.

There's still a lack of pace in the squad. We've got really good attackers, but who are all a bit similar and none are particularly quick, except for Mane.

I'm a Klopp fan and let's just say i wasn't Mr Rodgers greatest fan. But today was everything wrong with what Klopp has done since he came in

- lack of back 4 screening.
- full backs that make mistakes every game and offer very little going forward
- a central midfield with players like Henderson, scared to drive forward with the ball
- too many very similar attacking midfielders that we seem to be adding too.
- a single striker line up that is easy for teams that sit back to defend against.
- an inability to change a game plan.

This team will do well to finish top 6.

We beat a very under strength Arsenal team. Burnley convincingly executed their game plan. Spurs away next week, neither Henderson or Wijnaldum should start imo and if Firmino plays it should be as a striker or not at all.

We have played well for about 20 minutes in two games.

Maybe Klopp would rather wait for the right signing rather than sign what is available?

Balotelli and Benteke are prime examples of recent signings that have been made 'because we needed someone'

Has Grujic been injured?
