And to all those of you who did the decent thing and walked out on 77 minutes - congratulations.
Surely not it was pointless http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/announcements/2068...

Now fans of all leagues need to get together and get these lowered not just frozen

Agreed. All of that TV money should not just get channelled in to the pockets of players and their agents.
Definitely, but fans need to be reminded of this next time we don't pay 38m for Teixeira or miss out on a player to Chelsea because we didn't tip the agent...!A huge step in the right direction and FSG are to be commended for that. I did note the statement did not include Ayre as a signatory. Also a good reply from SoS & 1906 who will reflect on the proposals although it should be noted this is a unilateral move without consultation of the fans groups, so there could still be some further movement before all sides are happy.

I have to say we could have much, much worse owners. Fair enough they got it wrong to begin with, but at least they are not above admitting that they got it wrong.
Agree with Sye though, there needs to be a portion of tickets that get cheaper to enable the fanatical locals to get back inside Anfield.
Aye - having a portion of tickets for every match set at 9 quid is a good start. Must admit I was really surprised that in today's world of corporates rarely admitting they get it wrong - and when they do its dressed up to suggest its someone else's fault - FSG deserve some credit on this one. Agree with Sye though, there needs to be a portion of tickets that get cheaper to enable the fanatical locals to get back inside Anfield.

A face value that seems like a decent response from the owners.
I notice that they have got rid of the different game categories. I wonder if the income here remains the same in its total as is now, is lower or becomes higher. Devil in the detail. I don't trust them. Let's see what this looks like.

Maybe the owners aren't as bad as people made out.
People have forgotten the extra £ from loads of hospitality seats created, also my seats will go up 10% maybe 5% at best (£150) times that by a few thousand. The actual concession was the piss take, they got away with the main increases.
However I'm happy if we can have one small addition.
In the corner of the boardroom is a plastic garden seat, sat on it is one fan who has been a supporter for 20 years and Passed a test or something. This fan has two words to add to all player debates "Boss or Shyte".
So the transfer committee spend 35 days on some no mark midfielder from Sunderland and the Fan in the corner shouts SHYTE and the transfer is abandoned - save a fortune.

I now have a brilliant picture in my head of this, brilliant! I want this to happen! The actual concession was the piss take, they got away with the main increases.

At face value, the statement seems fair, interesting to see what happens with the game categorisation abolishment - can't see it being lower or they'd have mentioned it in the statement but they'd have to be mad to make it more expensive after this furore. They've also ,over quickly on this rather than hoping it blew over - deserve credit for that.
Overall though, that statement was excellently written and reads as genuine and to the fans - whoever their PR or whatever person is they've nailed that. Shows that FSG have good people working for them, shame they can't get that quality at LFC!
Massively undermines Ayre though doesn't it after his statements earlier in the week...
