As downbeat as I am after the result today, assuming the whole season will go the way of our opening 3 games is just daft. If we've been this way in another 15 games then maybe. 38 games in a PL season, not half a dozen.
It is ridiculous just how reactionary fans are nowadays! Also as mentioned a lot of times - if we are happy to continue in the same positions as we have normally been in then there's no reason to complain. But some of us want more, when (in our opinions at least) a few small changes could make that much more likely.
I guess it's the opposite question back to you - what is changed in our team that makes you believe Klopp is fixing things? Just saying look at his record is not the question now, or we just have to trust him, but rather take what he has actually done in terms of tactics and players?

We all know that thes 3 games are not being looked at only in isolation. It's a continuation of a pattern from last season under Klopp and even before then. We raise our games for what are now our cup finals, we slip up against teams that will finish bottom half whose game plan is to sit deep, defend and hope to get a lucky goal on the break. And since Suarez, we fail too often to beat teams when we've been on top by missing chances and conceding goals a better defensive set up wouldn't.
Of course this team will get better as we see Grujic and Can replace 2 of the midfield 3 that played today. I'm looking forward to a midfield 3 where Can and Grujic are permanent fixtures with Henderson, Wijnaldum and Lallana fighting it out for the other position.
Hope this ain't the start of a 'Klopp out' and silly names for him starting to appear!!!!!! Its 3 games in FFS and we still have players to come back.. Surely drawing with a top 3 side away ain't too bad a result ???? There are no easy games in the PL anymore and we don't have a god given right to win every game.. If anything Spurs should be more upset than us, playing at home top 3 side last year etc.,Remember the glass can sometimes be half full rather than half empty.Of course this team will get better as we see Grujic and Can replace 2 of the midfield 3 that played today. We have the money to buy someone as good as Gerrard?!
Assuming 80 to 100 million then yes, we could afford that if the board wanted to.But that's not their strategy and Klopp seems happy with it - at least I presume he is as I think he wouldn't stay if he didn't think the board would back his plans.

The problem being, that as a club you can't just go out and buy one 80-100 million pound player. Besides which, if we were in the running for such a player, we'd almost certainly be the least desirable option out of all the other clubs also in the running.
I don't disagree. I was just pointing out that we could if there was a desire to do so.I have never known a left back to cost 80 million pounds.
And of course professional footballers will come to Liverpool if we pay the money. They go to the back end of Russia and China.
I also thought Milner had a decent game. I appreciate the value he actually has on the pitch. If anything he should be playing ahead of Wijnaldum in the middle. He had quite a number of assists last season, he's not going to manage that from left back. I understand playing him left back as an emergency, but setting out the season with Milner as first choice left back and a minus net spend is just folly.

If we don't do better this season, I'd be inclined to agree with you.

Looking at the positives...
- We have played Arsenal away and Tottenham away and not lost.
- We have played FOUR away games in a row and only lost once.
- We have dominated the ball in nearly all our games perhaps except the Arsenal game.
I am pretty happy with that.
There does seem to be quite a lot of negativity on here.- We have played Arsenal away and Tottenham away and not lost.

I thought today we showed a bit more steel and cynicism when defending/breaking down Spurs counter attacks which was a big failing against Burnley.
Overall a game we should have won, but also not a bad draw away to Tottenham who will be there or thereabouts again this year.
International break now or one more game?

Yesterday we didn't need a LB as everyone's been crapping on about (however no doubt first team with pace will tear us a new one). Milner did a fine job.
Nor do I think a DM was our problem yesterday.
I didnt even realise Henderson was playing.
We just couldn't penetrate the final 1/3rd and so make of that what you will in terms of what we need.
Matip and Lovren were very good and have a good feeling we might have the makings of a good CB pairing at last.
Personally I thought we were fast, solid, bit messy sometimes with passing but overall decent.

Really? We couldn't even get Goetze, who'd be told to go do one by his current club and he only had to decide between us and BVB. And he had a good relationship with Klopp. And he wasn't even £40m!His stock is very high.

Were we in for Goetse? If we were I bet he would have come if we had paid him twice as much as BVB.
Anyway, my point was we could spend big if there was the desire to do so.

Nowhere near, pleased with Klopp and the performance yesterday. Some are down beat because we outplayed them but didn't get the result we deserved. Milner also did well.I am also hopeful for some of the new signings.
But have some of the same concerns as last season, time will tell whether they are misplaced, I am not impatient apart from the LB situation
