Good move. Chance to really shine in a B league. Still think he has a future with us but needs to have an outstanding season. So just Balotelli and Markovic to go!
So at the time we are doubting how we now set up to attack we forget that we have scored more prem goals in 2016 than any other team in the prem
Yes we conceed and we all know but Rome and all that .......
Jammy is totally right and to think you can play the pressing game with 10 is just crazy..there will always be a free man, let him get know with it and if in a year or 2 were no closer then maybe we should hit volume 100 .

Add the saved wages. We're also buying emerging players that are on less than some of the players we are replacing.
I'm sure when FSG look back on their tenure they'll judge it a huge success. They'll have probably tripled their initial investment. Winning trophies or titles is secondary to them than making money.
As businessmen I have nothing but admiration for them. Build up a team that isn't complete but has the right foundations for someone else to pick up and take us to a higher level. It's like buying a house that you know with 20k of rufubishment will get you a 60k return should you choose to sell. These guys know what they're doing. Klopp and the stadium will help them make loads more money. The next owner needs to see that the ingredients are there for them to also be successful.
Meanwhile these guys are putting money in the bank, new stand income, new TVs income, reduced wage bill.
Forgetting what they've forked out for the new stand? I'm sure when FSG look back on their tenure they'll judge it a huge success. They'll have probably tripled their initial investment. Winning trophies or titles is secondary to them than making money.

I suspect the naming rights itself will cover the cost of the stadium redevelopment over a 10-year period. Emirates paid around £100m to Arsenal and recently renegotiated a new deal at £150m. If Anfield cost £114m to redevelop as originally proposed, FSG will have it done it for "free". Smart business guys!
Emirates have whole stadium naming rights, we're just looking to sell naming rights on the stand.
Besides which, FSG have stumped up a lot of their own cash so far investing in LFC and taken not a penny out of the club. They also wrote off £69m of debt, essentially gifting £70m to the club. On top of that, time and again they've allowed us to buy players in before selling players to help fund those purchases and we've had way more transfer windows of positive net spend than negative.

They haven't done it for free - for 1 thing, you just think this scenario is what's happened, and for another, if it is that or something similar, they've still had to stump up the money NOW. Getting that money back in the future is a given, however its done. jammy_basturd said:

To be clear I am far from anti-FSG and think they have been good guardians to date, accepting they are a business and LFC is a business investment like most clubs these days. But your grasp of finance seems to be limited. There was no gift, they simply paid X plus Y debt, and they got a very good deal due to those shysters G&H being hung by their own legal loophole.Besides which, FSG have stumped up a lot of their own cash so far investing in LFC and taken not a penny out of the club.
