Jeez that is ridiculous, you played well first half, and he came across as very dignified when being interviewed post match. Surely unfair to make the game against an in-form Liverpool the make or break game

He's gone? Thought you were only a game or 2 away from a recovery myself. Though I always thought it was going to be a long season following the sale of Ash.
It basically went like this:

- thanks Guidolin for saving us last season

- here, have a sprinkling of unknowns plus a has-been striker too late into pre-season to get them to gel

- by the way we sold Ash and Ayew

- while you are struggling to get a weakened squad with your best players out of form to get anything from games against Southampton, City and Liverpool, we'll just invite some other managers to interview for your job

- what, you didn't get any points in those games (yet drew with Chelsea)? Well, as it's your birthday we'll sack you and bring in some st Yank manager.

An utterly contemptible farce.

Karius has looked anything but convincing. It's a strange one really, he plays the sweeper role and distributes the ball really well. He's not really had any saves to make but his ability to manage crosses are arguably worse than Mignolet's.

If I was Mourinho, I'd be practicing whipping crosses in to Felleni and Ibramoneypits.

I'm sure Karius will get better, I'm just not certain how many points he might cost us till he gets to that point.

I know united are looking pretty desperate at the moment, but do you really think mourinho will pick himself in the starting 11?? laugh

That really is appalling, Swansea played well on Saturday and he clearly doesn't deserve that. The fact that the owners had "1 of their own" as a replacement in place indicates it was going to happen anyway - they just needed an excuse. Shoddy, really.

That's poor from Swansea. If that chance had been taken right at the end - and let's face it, I think we would have backed ourselves to not put it wide from about four yards, he'd probably still be in a job.

And Giggs is is on a shortlist of one and can't get appointed - superb. This isn't going to end well ...

"A long-term appt" say the club - yeah, till he loses three games in a row ...

From what I know Giggs was all lined up by the Chairman (and self-appointed DOF - what a c*nt) over the weekend but the Yanks clipped his wings and chose Bradley - presumably on Landon Donovan's advice.

Our club has gone from one that others aspired to, to a complete basket-case and likely the next Villa, in the space of 3 years.

I genuinely didn't think Karius' passing out was that good, fluffed it a few times!

Its great to see a young keeper come into the squad just don't see why Mings was dropped thought he had played really well this season and definitely improved on some of his weaknesses from last.

He was dropped for the number of games he cost us last year and probably 2/3 years before...is that fair has he has not made any errors this year... who knows..but klopps call and he gets my backing 100%

I agree with Sye - I think it's slightly harsh, he had been much improved recently, but Klopp's call and I have faith in him to make the right one.

Pretty much everyone on here wanted rid of Mignolet this year, last year, and the year before that.. Suddenly when Klopp drops him people start moaning.. Mignolet can raise his game temporarily but you just know he will let you down when you least expect it.. I think he suffers from concentration issues.. Lets stick with Karius imo he's bound to be nervy to start but I trust Klopp's judgement totally.

Personally, I think in Karius and Ward we have two great keepers for the next 10+ years!

When Klopp was asked about Karius last week he indicated he hadn't had much of a chance to look at him yet so he'd still be in on the Saturday - ultimately I expect he will stick with him for a few games to see how he responds/improves. If he screws up royally more than once, Mings will probably get the nod for a while. But Karius won't improve without game time so it will probably be Karius in the main games until it all goes badly wrong.

So much so for 'second best keeper in the Bundesliga' eh?

Defence still looks dodge, but your strength at the other end of the pitch appears to be doing enough to win you games at the moment. I hate to say, but you look like you'll be serious title contenders this year (should you tighten up a bit at the back).

I don't think we will, but I think we're going well for top four. I think we'll be last years Spurs - strong throughout the season, but we'll have a rough month and the odd draw/loss and won't quite be good enough this season for a serious title challenge.

Spurs look the real deal this season so far. I don't think they have conceded from open play yet?

Like I said, my only worry is the defence for you this season as you seem to have a lot of strength in depth going forwrd. Most clubs go through a bit of a patch where the goals dry up, and if you then can't keep a clean sheet then you may struggle to keep on winning. The last 4-5 season Klopp has managed, his teams have not kept many clean sheets and have struggled defensively. I still think you'll be there or there about all season and top 4 is definitely a realistic target, no doubt at the expense of United frown

From a neutral point of view, I imagine you're a great watch this season - fantastic going forward and a tendency to concede.

De Gea looked well dodgy in his first season - ultimately some foreign goalies do struggle in the Prem to start with.

I'd agree with that. Top 4 would be a great result for this team I think.

Bloody hell.

Huw Jenkins undoing all his good work, with help from the new owners. You seeemed such a well run club no more than 3 years ago.
