Lets not pretend, Clyne does not walk in , So does Matip next to your new guy, and Firmino is probably our best player in reality for me so he does too, and Mane
Not fussed about any of those three to be honest. Just my opinion!

Would take Ibra over Firmino over the course of a season (purely on the 'who wore it better' with the ponytail smile ), Valencia is good at RB and don't see much in Clyne that Valencia does not offer and I've not seen enough of Matip to justify him over Smalling. Mane? Nah, not a fan.

Most of what I see of Liverpool is from MoTD, as I can't bare to watch them win, so generally avoid their live games unless it's against another top team, so it's hard for me to form a proper opinion of them based on Alan Shearer's weekly analysis hehe

Ibrahimovic is a shirt-selling clothes horse. Even my Manu supporting son who wont have a bad word said against them says he is too slow, too lazy and, as predicted, is offside way too often. Firmino, in comparison, is head and shoulder above him.

Struridge is starting to run out of excuses, he is currently fit, and should be banging in goals. No doubt the lads talent but Klopp's system need 11 players working hard, and DS isn't for me on form or cutting the mustard. I would start Ings against West Brom, i remember watching him against Utd a few years ago, you could tell he has talent and certainly deserves a crack at the first 11.
Wijnaldum and Lallana were big misses and Can looked like a player short on games, he needs a few sub apperances to get his match fitness back. Also it would mean Hendo bombing forward and Can holding the midfield defence position.

A few points off the top, with a top coach who knows what he wants and how to get it i am in the most very positive.
Goalie still a concern but lets give the new guy a chance.

Matip and Lovern look like they will be our new CB partnership for the next 5 years if they carry on this form, and could
I don't think Sturridge needs excuses, but as others have said he just doesn't fit the style of our team these days. There is no doubting his quality - just look at his scoring record from previous seasons and it shows he is not a one season wonder. However I think he really benefits from 2 up front and so I am not sure we can blame him for current performances - just he is not right for us now.

But our formation is fluid - as Klopp has explained. Its not just "1 up front", it's meant to be far more than that. Even so, I agree. For whatever reason, Sturridge just looks lumpen, slow and can't seem to do anything with the ball.

I do think Sturridge could improve and do a job for us. His game against Utd was not indicative of him not suiting our style, it was more an indication of a player down on confidence. I think he can suit the team, but only against certain opposition - definitely not against any team where by we need to rely on the high press, high tempo style.

I think he's exactly the type of player that we need against the Burnleys and West Broms. They sit back and let us have the ball, so the high press isn't needed as much. But Sturridge is one only a couple of players we have that can just make things happen out of nothing, something I think we'd find difficult to replace.

I was watching him pretty closely from my £9 high up seat and I am not sure its just confidence... you make your own confidence, I was watching his movement off the balls, how many times he tried to get into space behind or between the defenders (admittedly there was not a lot but it was there) what his runs were like after a lay off i.e did he spin quick use his pace and try get away and it was all so lethargic, slow, predictable and easy to mark - that is why soon as he went off and Firmino did all that we caused them more problems with runs behind, lay offs and darts into space etc....

There is no excuse for that for me, just pure laziness on his behalf

How did you recognise Sturridge? Do you have bionic vision or did you take binoculars? smile I sat in the upper centenary once and wished I'd taken binoculars - I couldn't recognise who scored our goals from where were sat, just that it was a red shirt.

Did you have a £9 seat, Sye? You should have said.... hehe

The only time I went to Anfield, sat near the back of the Centenary Stand and could only make out certain players from that distance.

I think for £9 you can't really complain (not that you are Sye) - I'd struggle to get a cinema ticket for less than that!

]
exactly, my mate who was more in line with the Centre Cirle was 2 rows from the back, so worse view and paid £59 laugh

As nice as the stand is inside and outside (looks superb at night outside) its just full of day trippers who have no idea.....shame but thats the way football has gone and it will never change - the amount of half and half scarves on Monday was scary, what would possess a Liverpool 'fan' to want to half half a United scarf round their neck is beyond me

This is the same Markovic who, when he came to us, had already made pronouncements in his own country or wherever he was, that he was going to be such a great player... Looks like he's definitely going for the exit.

I can see myself - the C of Bet Victor on the Kop side of the Centenary above the boxes.
