That is spot on. He's pragmatic, straightforward and above all realistic. No Brent speak, just honesty, which as you say some took to be modesty.
IMHO we won't know where we truly are under Klopp until this time next year, with two windows under his belt, or possibly even next summer with three.
I'd agree with that. I think this is why I'm so utterly unenthusiastic about this season now. Roll on the summer.IMHO we won't know where we truly are under Klopp until this time next year, with two windows under his belt, or possibly even next summer with three.

Only saw the first half last night but to be honest it hasn't changed for the better under Klopp!
I am not sure what people expect him to do, he has no training days only recovery, never had a striker and has had injuries to key players since he arrived.. Lets at least give him time to train them, buy players etc before expecting him to make us world beatersI cant remember anyone getting enthusiastic about him. was a disaster from the start.

You're joking right! There was plenty of enthusiasm and YouTube vids and quotes from fans of Villa saying how good he was etc.
I am not sure what your point is, are you really just trying to call someone out for saying Benteke was good? why ?He was he probably still is, from seeing him play live now and watching him closely its quite easy for me to spot he wont suit us, same as Mario
His record speaks for itself, maybe some of us were niave in thinking he would work in our team based on his success in other teams has come from teams who play a certain way but I dont see why you keep insisting on trying to oust people for believing he would work in our team.

At the end of the day none of this really matters I just find it a bit strange. I mean it's not like we can't all go back and look at what was said.

I'm just pointing out the revisionism. From reading some of the comments here apparently all the liverpool fans knew he was going to be a dud from the start which is complete rubbish.

Not sure how someone who has a 1 in 2 record can be a dudd.. yes he can not suit a playing style of team but thats totally different.. At the end of the day none of this really matters I just find it a bit strange. I mean it's not like we can't all go back and look at what was said.
Dont get me wrong the biggest disappointment I have with him is his movement, I dont mean he is lazy as he is not, especially comparing him to Mario, but he doesnt move like a striker, he doesn't try to make space for himself...
If he goes to another club who have players who suit him he will be a success, just like he was at villa....
His confidence is totally shot now that's is so easy to see, he is nowhere near as bad as we are seeing right now thats for sure...
I was at Anfield when he tore us a new ahole but he was buzzing then and freely scoring... I just dont ever think he will get a run for us as when he does our movement and style of play totally vanishes and we should not be changing a whole team ethos for 1 player.
He is a Rodgers signing and its obvious to all Klopp does not see him in his plans...

Blaming Mignolet for the first goal is bonkers in all fairness. I for one will be shouting for Leicester now.
He was stood where any keeper was stood, Vardy just hit a screamer Vardy's strike was world class. Absolutely brilliant. But as he said In the interview on Sky sports and was repeated on MOTD, he had seen Mingolet being out of position previously during the build up to the goal.
He's standing outside your area whilst Vardy is running onto the long ball.

Was he? The ball is already in your half, as is the striker, and he's standing outside your area. He isnt coming forward to get the ball, and in the photo he has already retreated to this position. He retreats but never fast enough. I think he was stood far further out than a really good keeper would stand., and for no reason.

Not sure why you are showing that pic, has no relevance to where he was when he shot, he was on his 6 yard line, he got and up and under perfect..just let it be a brilliant goal Vardy's strike was world class. All keepers hover around edge of their area when the ball is in the opposition half, Vardy ran onto a long ball and dispatched it perfect 99/100 it hits row Z

The problem is, last year a number of supporters were bemoaning our lack of a Plan B. Many of those fans are the ones having a go at Benteke now. If Benteke isn't a perfect Plan B for us then I don't know who would be?!
Err, if he is the perfect plan B then he would be banging them in because the system would be used to suit him whenever he is on the pitch.More to the point, what the fk is plan A?

I agree with Sye. When Vardy strikes Mings is only a couple of feet off his line. Much like this strike from Dempsey: https://gfycat.com/ImmaterialMajesticKodiakbearAll keepers hover around edge of their area when the ball is in the opposition half, Vardy ran onto a long ball and dispatched it perfect 99/100 it hits row Z

I just don't think he recovered his position fast enough because he was caught napping outside way outside his box, when he wasn't participating in the play.
Fantastic goal. Anyway, I think Mingolet is excellent, just sometimes seems to lose concentration.....

Nothing he could do at all.
