We played Lucas as first choice centre back because of a spat Klopp has had with Sakho and the other centre back Klavan not being good enough. Those things were evident last weekend.

I have no criticism of freezing out Sakho, I do have criticism if what you do once you've frozen him out is play Lucas at centre back.
So you are saying that you know 100% that Sakho would have played better in the game than Lucas did. I often say this but Klopp is surrounded by the squad all week he IS a better football manager than me and you.

No one is perfect, chill out get behind the team! We are third in the PL no football team or squad are perfect.

RT do you actually enjoy watching football/Liverpool?
Lucas is not a centre back. Sakho is a proven international centre back.

Even Moyes is a better manager than all of us put together but that doesn't mean we can't question decisions they make.

And of course there is the small matter that I have always been behind the team, even going week in week out when we had Roy in charge.

I questioned 4 things at the loss

Karius
Origi
Lucas
And the failure to shut up shop at 3-1

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who thought some/all of this.

Klavan would do better than Lucas. Strange decision.
Klopp didn't think so
I know that. But he signed Klavan out the blue because he rated him from his time in Germany. No-one saw it coming and Klopp said how pleased he was to have signed him. Now he's 4th choice. I like Klavan and haven't seen him do much wrong, so it's a bit of a strange one.

Milner is not a Left back that has worked, Sakho is not available, he is also prone to make errors! Lucas has played there before this season Klopp is happy for him to play there, that's good enough for me, (I know it isn't for you).

Yes we can question decisions but what decisions do you question!! You are questioning which players the manager chooses, the manager has talked to them watched them train briefed them for a specific role and analysed the opposition thoroughly. You have watched the game and criticised his decisions after the event!

Klopp has a style of play I doubt we will see one of his teams 'shut up shop' whatever that means to you?

You are aware some of our key players are injured and that it wasn't our ideal lineup? Seems strange to criticise our 2nd choice players in the manner you do.

I also fail to see your point about Origi, I feel he played well.

Maybe he isn't fit enough at the moment, maybe he had the trots, maybe Klopp though Lucas had performed better or suited the opposition better, I have no idea. I don't have enough information to say one way or the other or to question the manager/coaching staff decision.

It wasn't his fault. I think he shouldn't have been given the longer contract. The man was a relic from a bygone era where for a while, a short while, who he is made all the difference. Then he bought Charlie Adam, Andy Carroll and Downing. As I said, football from the 80s. Maybe it suits Stoke.
He bought Suarez and got us to two cup finals when he came back, I think you are pissed at him because he wasn't pc, I liked that about him.

Everyone questions team selections, before or after, sometimes even during. There's an entire industry built off the back of it.

And I've seen Klopp shut up shop before. He'd bring on Stewart. Shutting up shop at this game was the moment we scored 3. Move Lucas into midfield and put on Klavan for Origi.

But Dalglish is still worthy of contempt and derision?

Pathetic.

I agree RT. Especially after we went 2-1 down... and they looked like they were getting back into it... and then bam! We scored what should have been the goal that killed the game off. Klopp made a big mistake there... should have shored up the midfield and shut up shop immediately after!

Why have you not said he should do that in other games before (where we got more goals later)? You't probably have complained he closed shop when we needed to catch others due to the big wins at the weekend. Also now Stewart is a good choice despite you saying he was rubbish the other day?

And now Ings is obviously squad filler this season, despite you asking why Klopp didn't play him before his poor appearance (as did I)? Yet Klavan or Sakho should play despite us having as much of an idea about their form as Ings when we wanted him to play?

there is a simple resolution to all the yadda yadda regarding Red Trident, it is so simple it is called ignore !!! works wonderfuly and you get to read the thread a lot quicker chaps
Did you perhaps think that people might actually enjoy the discussion with me? Hadn't you left by the way? Never to post here if I remained in the style of some others. smile
So you remember a single throw away comment from an occasional contributor to the thread but don't remember you repeatedly (by all accounts) calling our former manager and club legend Dogleash.

Sorry but that simply doesn't add up.

Is there an actual way of me blocking his posts so I can't see them? PH are missing s trick here. Would sure run smoother.

Ps. I like karius and think he will come good. He's no worse than Ming. So I'm sticking not twisting.

On another forum I use you can block posters. Seems to work because I don't think I've ever seen a big argument on there.

Disqus comments have it too.

Would be a step forward here considering the size of the forum.
