I did a 1 hour 'taster' track day there a couple of weeks back and it was spot-on. All older cars and no idiots trying too hard in their ratted hatchbacks, so that was a bonus. Did a couple of laps in a Lotus Evora 400 which was exhilarating, then went round in the integrale which wasn't too shabby either...! Did a short tour of the factory after the track time which was also a great insight to how the factory works nowadays. Good on-site catering too.. This really is a great track for the S, there's a couple of decent straights and there's a lovely section of twisty's with 2 challenging hairpins too. Get booked and enjoy.! biggrin

I normally look at topics like this and become disappointed because with all of my other car/trip stuff using more annual leave for a trackday is not possible. But then I realised these are held on Sundays bounce

Can’t do May (3 big Euro Tours in 5 weeks) but Sept has been firmly pencilled onto the calendar. Will confirm asap but should be ok.

Could be tempted with the May one as I'm considering doing Anglesey that month too. Bit concerned about the sound test and my tyres being allowed on the circuit though. Perhaps I'll give them a ring.

I've already put my money down through the website - so I'm definitely going. However, if the Lotus thingy refuses to start (common) then I'll be forced to take the Cerbera.....Might be up for the September one too but would have to see closer to the time if I've earned enough 'good boyfriend' points.

Cheers

Having read the webpage I'd double check with them that they'll accept the Cerb.

Never Driven the Lotus track, not sure if my car will get down to 102dB though. I need to noise test it after my new cam. If all good then I will be up for this.

I was there a few weeks back, and they were very relaxed about noise to be fair. I think if you've got a silencer of sorts you'll be ok...

That is good to know, thanks. I do have some bolt on silencers as it is far too loud without, may scrape down to 102.

I have sent them an email as my Griff is a 1999 car which is not eligible but I am hoping they will make an exception. I probably could have got away with it as it has an 'M' registration but thought best to declare it upfront.

Booked 8th May track day. I have already done the factory tour so will give that a miss. Currently struggling with insurance as it does not look like the TDO is a member of the ATDO so classic line are querying it.

Just spoke to them and my NS-2R tyres are acceptable - racing slicks and cut slicks are not - as they are road legal.

Now just need plan to see if I can get the car back together in time! Alternatively there is a Snets day on the 12th of May which I may do with phazed.
