10 volumes, worth marking the occasion.

I have bought two barges across the threads, W140 S500 and S211 E320. Neither will be the last, the SL55 is for sale and the next barge beckons.

Here's to Vol XX biggrin Coming sooner than you'd think!

Liking the E39, but as usual, wish it was of an Iberian persuasion.

edit to add:

from the older thread, this was magnificent.

Is this PH's best thread? Or does Flemke's McLaren thread take the cake?

The CX Prestige is beyond cool.

The 140 grew on me tonight. It's no good for knocking around in with the kids. But I took my wife out for dinner in town tonight and we were late. It's six miles from my house to the A1, then 20miles down there and finally about four miles into town. It's such a refined car. With 120 on the clock it's turning over at 3,500rpm. One hand on the wheel the other on her knee. Conversation at an entirely normal volume. Faster on the way back. My wife hates going fast but she just didn't notice. Headlights are good. Stereo is fantastic. It's a big car for big journeys on big roads.

Very nice indeed. Anyone know what the reliability is meant to be like on these? I really do fancy a V8 but at the same time they scream money pit.

VT5, there's a very nice 540i on Autotrader at the moment. I can't link using this bloody phone but it's the dark blue E39. Check out the pictures of its service history!
