Just curious to find out from the leicester regulars exactly what, if anything, was the defining change to alter them from certain relegation last year to the remarkable escape and then carry on this season. Obviously the turn around happened whilst Pearson was still manager, so not sure if it can all be down to our old 'Tinker-man'.
(apologies if this has been covered before in the other in-depth Leicester threads)

Mahrez surely is the main difference, he's broght the best out of Vardy too! From a neutral it looks as though the tinkerman has really galvanised the team and they play for him and each other.

The signing of Huth coincided with the upturn in form.
As a non Leicester supporter I always thought they were in a false position last season.Their overall play was better than the results suggested.

But both of them were already there so they couldn't have been the difference ( unless they were intentionally playing crap before until they got their way -bit like some of our players at Chelsea rolleyes)

Kante.

More than JUST him obviously but he is a massive influence in the Leicester team. ANd you don't notice what he does really - apart from turn up everywhere the ball is.

But then they show you what he has done and he has been all over the pitch.

And a manager with good organisational skills. And a great team spirit that has got stronger throughout the season.

Simple really!

Richard the third was the turning point. Solid at the back, went missing for ages but made a great comeback.

Since Richard III was re-buried in Leicester last year the club has gone from strength to strength. True Dat! biggrin

I've always said having a Richard the Third in Leicester would improve it.

(Well done the Foxes...having Stamford Bridge applaud Ranieri as Champion would be a great sight)

Getting Huth on loan and tightening up the back 4 with Morgan certainly helped out towards the latter stages of last season which i think was the start of things. Claudio coming in and keeping the backroom staff(Walsh/Shakey) adopting to 442, keeping the core players (Mahrez, vardy, schmiechel, drinky, morgan, schlupp, king, simpson) and the others also helped due to going through the motions of promotion/relegation etc.

If we win Sunday, I really don't know how to react. It's still so crazy seeing us up there at the top with only 3 more points to get.

I hope Claudio starts Schlupp against Man U - he might be like a headless chicken at times and far too one-footed but he's a fair old unit to be charging forward with the ball ... and he's quick.

he's pacey as you like but hesitates in front of goal sometimes or completely miss hits it!

Good team spirit, sensible manager, no heroics, just good football. Shame that other clubs don't operate the same way.

Stopped following football about 27 years ago. Football was changing into a big business and the terraces were going. Going to Filbert Street started to lose appeal - especially as Stevie Walsh et all were reaching the end of playing careers and we had people like lanky Ian Ormondroyd in the team. I also found I was growing out of the tribal aspect of football.

The King Power stadium came along and it barely registered on my radar except when I visited on business. However my sister got more and more into football (Arsenal supporter) and I started looking at the tables again. I love tables. Love trend analysis and performance. Leicester started well in the season and I got more and more into it.

I don't have a TV so I haven't seen any games (in fact the only game I have been to all season, and the first game in 25 years was AC MIlan vs Juventus when visiting Milan recently) but I follow the scores, tables and performances of players closely.

Now some would say me getting back into football and Leicester finally doing well is just coincidence. I couldn't possibly comment

So you're a lapsed Leicester fan, they're having the season of their lives and you've not watched one game? Unbelievable!
