France look unstoppable. What a game!
I disagree, I think France look very average, it's the Irish who are making them look good. They won't do this to England.
Really? Have you been watching the same England side I have?
I reckon we'd struggle against either team. Be a bit of a result if we beat Iceland tbh.
Hello wink

What is it with the Welsh & Scots wanting England to fail at everything? We live on the same bit of land ffs.
Just a shame we couldn't chop through the borders & let them float out to see & support themselves as a nation! tongue out

It's because of the arrogance of your media. All morning I was listening to talk of how you'd get on against France in the next round. It even happened during half time, they were losing and the host on ITV asked "should Joe Hart be dropped against France?" You were bigging yourselves up when the majority of us couldn't see it, you've been garbage all tournament.

For me it's just because of the sense of entitlement that the English media and some fans have about their sports teams, it's baseless arrogance.

This also seems to flow through the players who just seem to turn up to tournaments thinking they are Brazil or Germany and will just cruise through to the final, then they get beaten by a team with a bit of heart (not hart).

If they'd won anything in the past few years or even couple of decades you might understand it but, they set themselves up to be laughed at.

A bit more humility and I'd look much more favourably on England.

Note, I'm not including all fans in this.

I work in an all English office with some fairly passionate football fans, every single one of them wanted the home nations to progress regardless. Wales and Iceland seem to have been the 'nuetral favourites' in this tournament due to their work rate and the passion shown by their players and fans.

I don't know, is rugby your number one sport because your st at football?

I'm not even joking, your attitude is exactly why everyone loves beating you, more than that - its why everyone relishes in your failures. It's a shame really because a lot of the English are good guys, gracious guys, unfortunately some are self righteous knobs....

Thank fk the rugby is over or your media would play down the Euros and praise the greatest rugby team the world has ever seen, led by the greatest coach ever to walk the planet, lead by the best (Kiwi or what ever the fk he is) captain sport has ever seen with the victory "typified" by the best number 7 ever to have ever played the game of rugby. Until the Irish and the Welsh beat you in the 6 Nations and your back here crying why everyone laughs at your failures....

Being the favourites seems to have been a curse in this tournament, I'll take that....

Anyone heading to Lille for Friday? smile

You might. I doubt the majority of your sports following countrymen would.

The media are to be ignored. The majority of the English do. And if you'd listened to the English pundits during and after the game I think there was plenty of reality there (and humility from the likes of Lineker noting how wrong they were).

The Scots are generally far worse than the Welsh at this anti-English sentiment. I guess sport must just attract a certain type of person (from England too).

I will take no pleasure in seeing Wales get beat (though I'm in two minds as to whether I'd like to see them win it judging by what I've seen of the reactions today). If that was Ramsey on the video he's let himself down IMO having had a fantastic tournament so far (Wales' best player). I hope he's a little bit embarrassed when he goes back to his club.

No disrespect to Wales and Iceland but I would be surprised if they win there next games, let alone win the whole thing. At the start of round 16 I put in a bet ( household one lol ) that it could be a Belgium v Italy final. England were absolutely dreadful yesterday evening, they didn't do one thing correctly making Iceland real test next against France. Belguim should be on fire and with Hazard they have a great chance to score many goals.

Really looking forward to the games....
