Relegation
As previously stated there will be relegation. The bottom 3 will all qualify for this but only the bottom 2 are assured of no-return next season (2017/18). For the player in the 3rd from bottom place there is the opportunity to escape but you must better the points tally of last seasons player in 20th place which was Oxford Drinker with 242 points. You will therefore require 243 points to ensure Predictathon survival into 2017/18's competition, equalling Oxford Drinkers score of 242 will not suffice.
I believe that Relegation will refresh the Predictathon with new faces and having a minimum score for 20th place could increase the competition and as a knock on effect raise the standard across the board if only by a little. This is of course subject to the wishes of the incoming administrator for next season but it will give him options.
I will publish the fixtures for next weekends matches in a minute below. Remember, these are to be submitted in the correct format by this Friday at 6pm at the very latest and going forward EVERY Friday by 6pm unless otherwise stated by me. Henceforth there will be no more reminders.
Finally, if you haven't already, please read the rules on Page 3 as falling foul of them and then crying about it will just make the handlebars on your bike rusty it won't affect anything else.
The first weeks table will be easy to work out but I'd suggest that everybody look at their cumulative points etc when I produce the 2nd weeks table as that's when the spreadsheet might be fallible. If that one pans out OK then I think I've cracked it in terms of getting all of the convoluted formulas to work.
Good luck everybody.
