Pathetic.
I've watched your last three games. I know you are missing a lot of players due to injury but the standard of back up players in your squad is utterly woeful to be honest. The forward who played tonight and the other day against Bournemouth is one of the worst players I've ever seen and I thought Sanogo was ste! Now I'm home and have had time to think about the game on a hot train - well done train s, leave the ones with AC in the yard in a baking night - I'm even more annoyed at the performance.
Don't really care about not being in the EL but makes a mockery of the effort put in last season and the spin about this; plus we've lost two the same fking team in consecutive years.
Agree about depth of squad. st, bargain basement backup, all, apart from the youngster Fletcher (who looked good, albeit against a team from fk knows where) should be ashamed of themselves.
We're going to get fking spanked on Sunday, and that's being generous.

Guys, this season was always going to be tough.Expectation, new stadium every team that comes will be right up for it.
I said at the start of the season expect no better than mid-table.
We had probably 120 million quid of talent missing again tonight, including our 3 main strikers and 2 best creative and ball keeping midfielders. Thats massive for us, 4 years ago we had a squad worth a loaf of bread and a packet of HomePride cooking sauce .
We can't expect any of the new players to come in and set it alight. Callieri is getting in the right positions, Fletcher is promising ... Why he never came on instead of Valencia is beyond me.
The only thing worrying me is Bilics odd tactics and selections at times .

Agree with that, however even with last nights team selection we should still be able to beat a team like Astra.I said at the start of the season expect no better than mid-table.

My concern was the level of performance (I appreciate that it was fking hot on the pitch & in the stadium) and the basic mistakes that continue to be consistently made - giving the ball away, missed placed passes, tracking back, poor dead ball delivery etc etc etc).
Morning gents.
For those of you who attend the games, I just wondered what you think of the new stadium?
I was there for the AC/DC concert a couple of months back and had the opportunity to speak to some of the facilities management folk over a beer - they were using the occasion to dry-run a few things ahead of the then up-coming season. One of the senior chaps expressed concern that 'it's not a football stadium and it never will be', and I have to say, it certainly didn't feel like one - too open, wide and the distance from seats to what would become the pitch was significant. Has any of the intensity and atmosphere that made the Boleyn so special survived the transfer? Do you now have a huge number of footy-tourists (a la Arsenal)? What's it like pre-match drinking in the Westfield rather than the East End?
I'm looking forward to my first match day visit (SAFC fan, Hammers always a great day out) to see how it is.
As far as performances go, you'll be fine once you get the big guns back - good luck for the season.

As SJC says we were missing a lot of our best players but I thought we did enough to win.
Anyone know why our 'goal' was disallowed?
I think it was handball from Antonio in the build up. Anyone know why our 'goal' was disallowed?
p.s. on the TV it seemed that he gave very little West Ham's way, including turning a blind eye to Calleri having his shirt ripped off from round his neck in the box.

It was very good - I've now seen AC/DC with three lead singers, Bon, Brian and now Axl Rose - wasn't their best gig I've seen, not the worst either - he did a sterling job of filling in.
Sorry for being OT chaps.
I really do think this move is going to hurt you bad...I used to love listening to your home games, the crows were so up for it, just so flat in there and you are miles away from the bloody pitch....
Also Stewards look a bit dodgy

The ref considered that he pushed the Astra defender in the build up. Gave a foul.

Felt that way in the Stadium, Astra took a very European approach & fell over at any opportunity. Ref was inconsistent, but not an excuse for how st we were. p.s. on the TV it seemed that he gave very little West Ham's way, including turning a blind eye to Calleri having his shirt ripped off from round his neck in the box.

Stadium owners are responsible for the stewarding - the company that's doing it has no experience with football. Complete lack of cops inside the stadium as well. Also Stewards look a bit dodgy

Should be interesting when we play certain teams.
I'm waiting for the inevitable home tie w/ m*llw*ll in the FA Cup
