The herding, searching and instructions via megaphone; the metal fences, barricaded entrances and station are all particularly annoying.
I take it you have to go to Stratford? I tried it the first couple of games and decided to avoid it. Luckily I don't have to go there as I need to get to West Ham for the Hammersmith & City tube. So I usually go to Stratford International DLR or Stratford High St. DLR. You get away from most of the crowds quickly and there's not usually any problems at either station.

The only bit that annoyed me about getting away from the stadium was the barricade where the away fans come out. It only annoyed me once, when I didn't know they'd put it up and had to leg it back round the entire stadium biggrin. TBH I don't know why it wasn't there from the start...
Usually, sometimes I'll have a drink elsewhere before heading to the ground but generally I'll need to come & go via Stratford, either for the tube or the mainline.

I have a general issue w/ people in fluorescent jackets shouting instructions at the best of times so post yet another home spanking it really pisses me off.

Having said all that, it is early days and the blueprint is there to make West Ham the main London branded club in the capital. The future seems bright.
To be fair, they are the only "London" branded club and I can't see any of the other 40 Pro/Semi Pro clubs in London bothering to change their name, so I guess they will be the main London-branded club by default.

I suspect that the billionaire owner will have more of an effect though wink
Adding "London" to the badge was stupid & unnecessary IMO.

Guess it can't be avoided then. I'd like to be able to go for a drink after a match, but since I'm usually hot-footing it back to Euston for a train, I have to find a quick way out. As such, Stratford has to be avoided biggrin.

Know what you mean and unfortunately there's been a few of them this season frown

Should've said 'United' where 'London' is on the badge.

I also need to get to Paddington and stupidly I've been shuffled back to Statford to get the Central to Mile End. Will make sure I get the DLR next time.

Stratford High St DLR is where you want to aim for.

I read somewhere that it's our first win at St Mary's but I don't know how true that is?
Anyway, I didn't see the game but what a bizarre team the Hammers are. Got absolutly slaughtered mid week and then presumably played well enough today to get three goals and the win and it not be a fluke. odd... scratchchin

After the shambles on Wednesday I was not expecting a result today. It can be frustrating but never boring supporting West Ham.

Funny week all round last week but if somebody asked at the start of the week I would have been happy if we took draws from both games. The would have been 2 points and as it is we got 3 so good but I still found Wednesday's performance hard to take.

Yep, would've taken that as well, but as good as yesterday was Wednesday was an utter shambles that's still tough to take.

watching build up to the Cittee v Swans game, they keep showing MC goals, we were fking awful.

So as St Mary's opened in August 2001 that does seem to mean ever...

Somewhat off topic but it's sad to see Leyton Orient doing so badly. I used to go to Orient when West Ham were playing away and would hate to see them drop out of the league.

Possible. If it's true (bear in mind it's in the Daily Wail) I bet the identity of the player comes out eventually.

Afternoon all. I wonder if anyone could help me please... I've just got membership to TruRib (don't know why it took me so long, I used to have Ribman before every home game at the Boleyn) and it seems that Pudding Mill Lane DLR station is quite close. Are there any problems going to Pudding Mill Lane and walking via Greenway or the road towards Truman's? I think I read a while back that access to the Stadium via Pudding Mill Lane was restricted on matchdays. Is that still the case?

On a related subject, a heads up that the Hammersmith & City line is closed between Edgware Road and Barking this weekend frown.
