It was strange being a West Ham fan last season, no-one had a bad thing to say about the players, the owners or the manager, we had a brand new stadium to look forward to, and were safe from relegation ridiculously early in the season. In a way it's a relief to be back to normal, the stadium is st, getting there is a bugger, the manager seems to have lost the plot, we struggled against Accrington Stanley, and we're back in the relegation zone, that's the West Ham I know.

The thing is, we've had a leaky defence for a while now - it's just that last season we managed to score more than we conceded. We simply can't afford to play two midfielders (Payet & Lanzini) who can't/won't do their defensive duties as it leaves too much for Noble to do and he just isn't quick enough from the halfway line back to out box.
If we lost to three worldies, then I'd be ok(ish) with that but the reality is they were all soft goals - we were in control for the first 35 minutes - even though we didn't threaten the goal
Payet looks as though he is going through the motions and I wouldn't be surprised if there was an 'Injury' soon that keeps him out for a while.
There is something amiss behind the scenes I think but I don't know what

Enjoyed the game, hated the Olympic Park.
Terrible thing jealousy.Jealous of a club that's sold the ancestral home to go in the footballing equivalent of social housing. You must be right, yep you've found me out.

I was speaking to some friends at the game today and the same thing was said then.Someone mentioned an unhappy changing room ?
I've just got in after all the walking about, the rubbish transport and a long drive and got to face the music at work tomorrow from all the plastics who support other clubs but watch from armchairs.
Rod.

Well, I'm always one for finding a positive ... But I'm struggling .
Oh hang on.. We didn't fight amongst ourselves!!
Mark Noble found a positive in his interview after the game, "Well the good thing is we cant get any worse!" Oh hang on.. We didn't fight amongst ourselves!!
It really was bizarre. At 35 mins in I said to my lad "right,no mistakes get to half-time at 0-0 and work from that".Famous last words.
We seemed to be devoid of any tactics going forward (other than the bizarre one of keep trying to float it over van whatshisnames head to zaza,no tactics defensively (Noble and Kouyote hopelessly out of position yet again constantly),no desire to track back....there was just nothing of anything.
The atmosphere was as dead as the performance as well.
Something is very amiss.

Are West Ham still moving forward?
I genuinely think it's a shame to see what's happening at West Ham. I think the club would have been better off remaining where they were. It's better to have a stadium filled with genuinely passionate West Ham fans rather than tourists and the atmosphere was fantastic at the Boleyn.

You can't fill the athletics track you're renting, your team is currently a shambles and your Manager looks like a man on the edge.

56,884 attendance yesterday for a Sunday afternoon televised game, with the added problem of the two main rail lines for the main customer base having a bus service only .
You ask after 6 league games are we moving forward.
The Boelyn atmosphere was equally crap at times .
And you thought Payet was our best player against Watford when no-one knew he was on the pitch for the last 60 minutes.
Typical headline reader.

I don't see how you can say we can't fill the stadium, yesterday's attendance was nearly 57,000. Only Arsenal & ManU had bigger gates. There's also a waiting list for season tickets at WH.Are West Ham still moving forward?

Like many others I loved UP but it was too small and in the wrong place. To move forward we needed a bigger ground.
I agree that the football this season has been atrocious and blaming the stadium is a lame excuse.

How can your home of 112 years be in the wrong place?!
Fair question.Even when I started going to matches in the 1960's most of the fans lived close to ground. They walked to matches. Going back further many of the players also lived around the ground. The demographics have changed and the area around Upton Park is largely Asian, not traditionally football fans. The WH fans now tend to live in Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk, so they travel to matches by train or car. The new stadium has MUCH better communication links including parking.
