Not complete toilet. Not hard to see our problem ~ no centre forward.

2nd half Everton looked real good. West Ham must be pretty horrid to make Everton look good.

Failure of Club & Manager to sort that issue over the summer.

2x sick notes, 1x striker who's not scored for months and possibly won't ever in England, 1x useless Sth American punt, Ayew (can't really comment yet) and Fletcher who gets the odd minute every now and then and presumably will be loaned out in due course.

Tough when you marquee signing lasts 20 minutes of his debut though.....

Carroll is done I reckon - 4 to 6 weeks out in August and now we are a couple of days away from November. Club has been very quiet on that fron, which concerns me. China beckons in January I think, if he is recovered rolleyes

Ayew's not a striker though; more attacking forward; even if fit doubt that he'd weigh in with many goals.

Well, easy to criticise I suppose, but with that many "strikers" of varying levels of proven scoring ability you could argue we have sufficient firepower on the books. Getting them on the park would be a start. Antonio isn't a striker and starting games without a centre forward is not ideal, to put it mildly.

We could easily have been a couple of goals up at half time today but came out for the second half asleep. Adrian, who had a great game otherwise, cocked up for the first goal and once they were ahead it was only ever going to end in defeat.

Troubling times? Not really, we've been in much deeper merde than this many times. A few more goals, a little better organisation at the back and all will be rosy.

COYI.

Maybe but collectively don't think any of them have scored (on the pitch) yet this season.

More concerning is lack of goals from the team as a whole, which wasn't an issue last season.

Hopefully something will give as we've a run of tricky fixtures coming.

A bloke takes thousands of pounds from Andy Carroll and fails to deliver the goods.

Somewhat ironic.

Another enquiry into the cost of the renovation of the Olympic stadium?

Apparently it has now taken an extra £51m on top of the £271m previously disclosed (which was already up from the original estimate).

Also it now turns out it will take 15 days to remove the seating - and 15 days to put it back in - which means you may not be able to have any home games in September next year, definitely having at least 2 away games to start the season.

Also puts plans for certain summer athletic events and concerts at the stadium at risk due to the 2 weeks required to change the seating.
