Anyone know or can work out the distance required to max out a derestricted e60 m5 and stop again safely?

Quite a lot I'd say.
I went to a TV event, runway was 2.2 miles of which 1.35 could be used for accelerating. Managed 178mph (185 on the speedo) so I think you'd need at least a couple more miles to hit 200mph. Remember at those speeds you'd be covering huge distances!
