In this day and age, 2mb per picture is ridiculous.the average size of a photo taken on your phone is 4mb. I genuinely cannot be arsed to resize it myself when every single other social network will do this inherently for you.

Why can't it be increased?

I've taken a picture of a takeaway and if I cant share it in the food forum I'm going to lose the plot. You have 1 hour to sort it out.

I urge everyone to simply move away from thumbsnap, an image hosing service that operates like it does has no place in 2016.

It's like their logo. I understand that you need an advert in the image but when you rollover it should move or disappear.

Yep 2mb is too small these days, given the 20mega pixel cameras that now come on smartphones.

That or at least give details of a safe place for reducing the size, as a fallback position.

You could always resize it yourself before uploading. Novel idea, I know.

If they want to limit file size per upload then they should resize / re-encode on upload, like any decent image hosting website does. It's not hard.

You can upload to any photo service you like from a mobile. Just copy the BBcode it gives you and paste it into the forum text box. Simple.

Jesus. If you love thumbsnap so much why don't you marry it?

One of the best 'disposable' image hosting websites there is. Plus you can create an free unlimited account too.

I don't use it. Because it's st. But, if I did use it, I'd not be stupid enough as to upload umpty-mega-pixel original-size images then whinge that it didn't cope with really large files.

I always resize photos before uploading. Not everyone has high speed internet access. It is simple good manners to scale the images so that they fit the page.
