This. 100%.

The bloke is a stupid, naive, egotistical dhead who was never suitable in a million years of being the manager of the English national team. When this sting took place he hadn't even picked his first team! We should be thanking the Telegraph on bended knee for helping get rid of him before he ruined the national teams reputation even further. The only problem with this of course is that the same fkING MUPPETS in the FA who picked him in the first place will now be picking his replacement.

It's an utter, utter fking disaster. frown
I don't think they're going to be 'picking' his replacement, more begging and hoping there's someone out there stupid enough to take it on.

Everyone knows Big Sam was a bit close to the edge, and in this case, all he has done has hinted that he knows a loophole and knows someone who can do it. He's done nothing wrong, other than to place his trust in people who had been building themselves up as trustworthy for nearly a year.

I'm sure we've all been stabbed in the back by someone we took into our social circle / professional circle and trusted. That's exactly how Sam will be feeling today.
Yes, but he should know better. Vanity got to the greedy, thick fool.

"Mutual Agreement" - Does that mean he's taken a huge payoff ?

That is why we will never be able to win any major tournament ever again. As soon as a manager takes charge, the media will be on the hunt to bring him down.
We???
An accepted term in football, "we" means the club but sort of entwined with the support, surely you knew this?

I'm a Sunderland fan, so here is another example for you, this one is a factual statement based on my observations on Saturday afternoon.

"We were ste at the weekend, as per usual'.

Possibly termination with notice period, but not "fired"

I don't want to live in a world where a good man is cruelly persecuted for the simple pleasure of drinking a pint of Liebfraumilch.

Hard to have much sympathy for him.

Don't buy into the whole suggestion that he was duped, or that it was entrapment. All this has shown is that Allardyce, despite being in one of the most well paid jobs in the country, still fancied himself as a bit of a wide boy and wanted another revenue stream.

If he hadn't been stung he would've been doing these deals behind closed doors anyway.

Embarrassing for Sam and the FA yes. I didnt think he would of got fired for the story today as he was only saying what he knows goes on and that it can be done regarding transfers. Maybe he has another story coming tomorrow that would see him get the axe?

On a lighter note. Nigel Pearson has been suspended by Derby. Hope he is not interviewing for the England job, I wonder if he has a news story coming too lol.

I actually feel sorry for him. He specifically stated that everything would have to be run past the FA before he got involved in anything, so that takes away the dodgy dealings piece. He's been hanged for having a pop at Hodgson's inability to pronounce the letter "r" and also for stating what a stronger manager would do if an assistant disagreed with them.

The former is naive and deserves a slap on the wrist, the latter is exactly what a team needs; strong leadership.

However, don't get me wrong, I think he's as corrupt as the rest of them, but this sting hasn't proven any of that.

Really disliked Big Sam as a person - I always remember how he tried to suck up to Fergie by having constantly have a go at Rafa - well Rafa has had the last laugh !!!!!!!

By having his name completely and utterly tarnished and losing his 'dream job' within 67 days - coupled with chances of re-employment at a premier league club being slim. Be good to see the back of this chav manager once and for all !!!
