I would certainly support a Wenger appointment.

The FA can't possibly follow Allardyce (a known liability) with Pardew (a known liability).

The England team is becoming like Taylor Swift, new man in, all sounds promising, out on his alaughlaughe after 2 months. She'd have a song about him out by Friday.

Laurent Blanc?

-available
-experienced at managing big egos
-managed CL
-won everything as a player
-played under some exceptional managers
-French, so likely not to care about extra marital affairs being exposed in the red tops

Pictures of Big Sam leaving his house for a holiday this morning.

My concern is over his house!

Looks like a three bedroom 70's detached in Bolton !

No pillars, no fountain, no gates. Surely not befitting of his position.

His Benidorm place looks nice though.

" Entrapment has won"

A big part of his job as England manager would be that would never happen. I'm sure for £3m plus per year I could not be entrapped. For £3 million I'd be reading my contract each night in case it had a clause about wetting the bed.

He took the piss out of Woy of the England Wovers, but Woy didn't get entrapped. Just failed to get out of the first stage. Noooooooooooooooooooooo.

The funny thing is that is was supposedly far east business links that caused it. Now, I doubt any of you on here have done this sort of deal, but if I rung you up and said I wanted you to meet some far east business partners for discussions in relation to football would you see any problems?? Given your experience of reading about the far east syndicates over the last few years that Sam seems to have completely missed I'm guessing you'd be pretty wary.

It's laughable.

PS Did Nixon after Watergate say "Entrapment has won" scratchchin

If it had been Sepp Blatter who'd been caught out in this way a couple of years ago, would people still be screaming about entrapment and blaming the journalists?

"Entrapment has won"

And thereby he completely undermines his apology. Sorry he got caught.

And that meeting that was video'd can't be the first one. You can't get the England Manager to a meeting by saying "can we have a meeting?" You have to get it all past the agent first.

That's why he was comfortable saying the outre things he was saying - because the first meeting had already been had, with the agent, and the theme and understanding of this meeting was already well understood:

Help circumventing 3rd party rules, useful introductions, etc, and a bit of innocent vanilla public speaking to provide justification for the payments, in return for cash."

You don't see his £3m mansion around the corner.

There aren't many homes in Bolton worth £3m
