There aren't many homes in Bolton worth £3m
The only good thing about Bolton is that they adopted my Dads ship in WW2 and have IIRC a good museum about it

Could Sams house be one like the Beatles had at the beginning of Help?

Bit of history and it simply won't sell. Bolton Wanderers languishing in League 1 means no tacky WAGs to snap it up.

"Entrapment has won"
I don't get this.

"Yeah, I was involved in something illegal, but only because they asked me"

Oh well, it's their fault then, is it?
I suppose if you're often involved in this type of shady stuff, then entrapment is constantly on your mind, and after years of not getting caught you consider yourself canny enough to avoid it.

In this instance (perhaps not an unusual thing in his life - he certainly looked comfortable) he was confident that he wasn't being trapped, so he was candid.

You'd have to consider yourself VERY unlucky if the first shady thing you've done turns out to be orchestrated by a newspaper.

Like getting zapped by a speed camera the very first time you do 56mph in a 50!

I think when he says 'entrapment has won' it is because the idea or entrapment is an old foe for him. One he normally beats.

Pictures of Big Sam leaving his house for a holiday this morning.

My concern is over his house!

Looks like a three bedroom 70's detached in Bolton !

No pillars, no fountain, no gates. Surely not befitting of his position.

His Benidorm place looks nice though.
Yeh rather modest -lived there ages - and his wife always has a white merc e class cabrio.Sam has a black Merc S class coupe. PFA chairman Gordon Taylor who has million pound salary also lives rather modestly oop north and has a current but several years old Jag XJ
Mate met Sam and says he is one of the nicest people he has met.I liked his down to earth approach but was alarmed by his egomaniac and disrespectful comments about other managers in his book - looked like it was his idiot twin saying those things

Well done Telegraph. You added fuel and burned England down from crispy burn to a blackened nothingness.
You dragged England down further down the drain, some media you are.
Fat Sam had the potential to give England a real kick up the arse but now he holds the record for 100% rate with a shortest reign ever.
Joke.

I couldn't disagree more. He is feted as being savyy about Sports Science, but his hoofball belongs in the dark ages. England would never have won a trophy under him.

As well as some footballing nous, you'd expect someone who has been around as long a Allardyce to be media savvy, including being aware of entrapment.
I don't buy all the bullst about footballers needing to be 'role models', but England Manager is up there as one of those jobs where you just need to be whiter than white. I'd have thought that a £3m/year contract would have been enough to keep his nose out of the trough.

Utter greed has been his downfall, good riddance to the buffoon. At least he can fall back on his alternative career as a walrus impersonator.

The England Manager should be focused on getting some pride back in the team and give us all something to cheer about.

Not trying to feather his own nest !

He can fk right off !!!!

silly

Honestly, It's come to something when a man can't do an honest days crookery without a cheeky camera popping out of someone's tie-pin.

Crooks should be able to rely on other crooks not to be bloody crooks about it!

The purpose of the Telegraph is to sell copies of the Telegraph/their online content not to blow sunshine up the arse of some thicko in a sheepskin coat.

Allardyce has failed the intelligence test.

The list of names has appeared on Twitter...no clue how true but if it is all of them then it will be an almighty st storm.

I mean bookies wouldn't have given you a price on one of the names it was so likely hehe

They're all from a site called Civil Unrest and everyone seems to be retweeting without looking at the other stories and headlines on that site

http://www.civilunrest.co.uk/breaking-news/8-premi...

The weirdest one has to be Giggs. He was a manager for about 10 minutes outside the transfer window, so how did he take bungs? I could easily believe Ferguson, but they'd have led with him if they had any evidence as it would be the biggest catch since Watergate (I would've said Jeremy Thorpe, but everyone's forgotten that!)

So Sam was caught out & there were more revelations to come. Was half hoping for some big name managers to be next on the list as we all know that they are as bent as as they come! However the Telegraph seem to be scratching around with minor infescretions by lower league assistants.

They won't publish any of the big names as they wouldn't meet up with some newbies to the business and The Telegraph would sink from all of the legal cases for something that a nobody has said about X

Edit: It's worth mentioning that Pearson has been suspended for a couple of days by Derby

A couple of those may be correct, but the list is wrong considering there was said to be another eight, three different managers have been named already.
