Saw that. Useless tt. But we have a buy back option.
Would he want to come back? Wrong attitude for a young player. Doesn't want it enough.

Nope. We paid for Schweinsteiger. The only high profile name coming to us on a free recently is Ibra.
Fair enough, I thought he was a free. Anyway, the figure appears to be double what was actually paid, having now googled for it!

Agreed. But I think it's good business to keep an option on him just in case. He really needs to buckle down and drop the flash.

The main problem with Memphis is/was he thought he made it. No doubt unbelievable talent but maybe the move came too fast for him.

He had made it. £80k+ a week and a hideous Bentley means you've made it if you're Memphis Depay. fk any trophies.

A Dutch Ravel Morrison in the making? Ridiculous how these guys can piss talent up a wall that we'd all kill to have had.

They get too much too young these days and for some players, Depay being one, that means they lose the desire to play and are more about the money sadly.

Does anyone know where you've managed to find an increase of over £100m from?

A series of incredibly strong deals across the world. Growth in all areas.

They really are a machine in commercial terms.

They sell a private box to a bunch of Quataris (who just happen to own the place) for a couple of hundred million quid I expect

Same as how a big chunk of City's revenues come from the huge sponsorship deals with Ethihad - who just happen to be owned by the bloke that owns city rolleyes

£80M quid a year - which is far more than we get from GM (but of course they're worth it!)

Yep make sense - I imagine if we manage to get and stay in for a couple of years our will jump quite quickly - new money from champs league and new sponsorship deals to match - prem clubs are loaded these days....should make for an even more competitive league

Whilst we're all loaded in terms of sterling, a lot of the benefit of the new TV deal has been eroded with the big drop in the £ vs €, that will impact on the prediction that 20 of the top 30 revenue generating clubs would be PL clubs this year.

See edits above, city sponsorship with Ethihad is not as big as I'd expected but still far more than anyone else gets for the same thing

Huge increase in money from TV now though as well and that's not good news (for the paying punter). Its a bit stupid to see that the public is getting fleeced so people like Memphis can have a new Bentley - the TV money is too much IMO.
