Who would have predicted a jones rojo partnership looking so good?
Sanchez ,lukaku and Kane all firmly placed in pocket .
Darmian looks dreadful though ,sissoko just waltzed past him.
We looked tired 2nd half ,but Spurs are probably the fittest team in the league.
Played some lovely stuff going forward ,it is actually pleasurable to watch united now for the first time in 4 years
Keep playing in this manner and the points will come ,

Although I could have marked Kane out of the game yesterday.
weird how Sanchez and lukaku didn't turn up either.
If united won the league by winning every game we would hear how not one team or player turned up all season for the opposition.

Remarkable ,when united win ,the other team didn't turn up,when players are marked out of game ,they didn't turn up .

Jones and Rojo were great, simple as that. Very business like performance yesterday. On paper the rest of December's games should result in a pretty decent points haul...Fingers crossed by the new year if other results go our way we could well be 4th maybe even 3rd?
Great goal for Micki and sounds like he's not going to be out for long.

What City wouldn't give for defenders that can defend

Didn't catch the game live, but saw MOTD and seems they just did the simple things right. Cleared their lines and won their tackles and headers. On a side note good to see Jones play well and stay fit. Always thought we would be a good solid player just kept getting injured and playing at rightback. I still think Bailey is our number 1 CB but would be interesting to see who should play alongside him? Jones? Smalling? Rojo? Blind?

The issue I have with all of Jones, Rojo, Bailey and Smalling, is that they are prone to making big mistakes, and lapses of concentration - probably true of many CBs. I'd still like to see a really solid top class CB join 2 of these, preferably Bailey and Jones or Smalling. I don't think Rojo is good enough, or consistent enough. Blind should be Carrick's replacement at some point.
I would like to see how Jones/Bailly partnership pans out. On recent performances and even potential, I feel as though Jones is better than Smalling.
Quite funny how all the Pogba haters probably don't even see us play. He's been excellent in the last few games. Statistically he's already performing better than last year when everyone was drooling over him.

If defenders didn't make mistakes then there would be very few goals. Blind should be Carrick's replacement at some point.
I think as a collective the team are forming some great partnerships. Jones and Rojo are both central defenders by trade, definitely their favoured positions, whilst Blind is a midfielder first and foremost.
I think my preference would be to see a partnership of Jones and Bailly grow, as they give me a warm/fuzzy "Vida/Rio" feel...

Disgraceful booing him. Good on Maureen for showing who's boss. He's not a great player but certainly not our worst in a lot of games. Had he come on instead of Rashford and played like Rash, he'd have got slaughtered.
United fans have a deserved reputation of generally getting right behind the players. It was a real shame that sections of the crowd saw fit to boo Fellaini yesterday. None of us are really happy with him but booing him won't do any good, it's noticeable that it's crept into OT in the last few years. I felt for him yesterday. anniesdad said:

I could understand a player getting booed for lack of effort or literally downing tools. I also feel for Fellani as he always gives 100%, he unfortunately isn't great and does let himself down at times with stupid fouls and being clumsy when making tackles. If he keeps things simple he can do a job for teams.
Could not believe that when I heard it..the modern fan for you, probably the ones you see taking pics of the opposition players/managers Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
