Bloody FIFA. A 6'5 centre back would have been handy against the long ball team we faced recently. phil_cardiff said:

He's just covering for the fact that FSG won't back him in the transfer windowlm3sye said:
How can anyone argue with that?! "I believe in training not just transfers. You need time and the right players. If you don't have the right players then transfers (ie to get the right players). Should be bloody simple really.I want to see a much improved performance from Can today and the next few games. Not 100% convinced by him. At the start of the season I wasn't convinced by Henderson. He has proved me wrong and whilst not the perfect player, he is a crucial part of this team now.
Emre Can with time might improve - but we cannot afford him the same amount of time it has taken Henderson to find his feet. It is my belief that we are still missing one truly quality central midfielder; someone who can take the game to the opposition and be the lynchpin of the team and can be worth 6 or 7 extra points come the end of the season, where otherwise we might have played out a dire 0-0 draw.
