Ranieri gone.
How many times do we seem to play teams who have just sacked their manager, or are on "the worst run in their history".
Guaranteed Leicester win
Sell his best player, gets them through the group stages of the CL, gets sacked. Go figure. How many times do we seem to play teams who have just sacked their manager, or are on "the worst run in their history".

There is no sentiment when tens of millions of pounds are at stake. This just shows how much footy has changed really. The LC owners clearly think they deserve to stay at the top table, now they've had a taste of the rewards. A decision made by people who understand money, not football.

It was mentioned this morning that the players demanded his sacking. It's very depressing regardless of what happened behind the scenes. I expect we'll see an improved performance from Leicester due to the typical boost received by appointing a new manager.Shamrock_ said:

If that's true, that's appalling. He was the one who got them their medals FFS. I hope they go down and I hope all those players who think they're Billy Big Balls suddenly find out they're not wanted elsewhere at the salaries they want.jammy-git said:
I think it's interesting that a lot of people say our title charge a couple of years ago was mostly down to Suarez rather than Rogers, and yet most people credit Leicester's title to Ranieri and not Kante?!
As with most things I suspect the truth is somewhere in the middle. Flip Martian said:

I disagree - I don't think they are thinking they deserve to be at the top. I think they are worried about relegation - they haven't scored a goal this year for example. Now if someone thinks they should have given him the rest of the season is another matter, but it's not because the club owners think they should be CL or winning the league now - it's almost certainly to stop them dropping down a division. And you may question it being money versus football - but take Fergie. Generally regarded as being ruthless with players and getting rid of them when he felt they were past it despite what they maybe have offered in the past. It is also a part of football to get rid of someone no matter what they did in the past.

They can say our title charge was mostly down to Suarez... It clearly helped having him in the team - other players sparkled alongside him as a result - but its not all down to him. Kante is hardly Suarez. Maybe Ranieri has lost the plot this year and doesn't know what he's doing...but that seems a bit unlikely.

I guess the answer is "not very high" but what are the chances of getting three tickets for West Brom away over Easter? It's a Sunday, 4pm kickoff.
They now offer the corps a larger allocation of away tickets making it even harder .... that said being WBA there will be tickets outside on the dayNRS said:

Agree with your last point but its happened far too quickly. I was talking to a LC fan this morning. He reckoned if they'd finished in the top half last season and no higher, that Ranieri would still be there. The owners now have high expectations. He said 1 of the owners said he was going to sack Ranieri and then went off and spent a 6 figure sum on wine, apparently. These people are driven by money and nothing more. And you may question it being money versus football - but take Fergie. The Times goes as far as to say there were four first teamers that met the owners several times to try to get CR sacked. Names them as Schmeichel, Morgan, Albrighton and Vardy. If true, will be interesting to see what reaction they get next time they play.
Sounds like the same article my friend quoted back at me too. Schmeichel has come out and said its not true. But then he would!Flip Martian said:

Sakho starting for Palace today.
Sounds like he did really well.http://m.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/defender-plays-a-...
Inevitable performance in my opinion, with an obvious point to prove. Better to judge him after 6 or 7 games.

All pretty meaningless though. Wouldn't be the first player to misbehave at 1 club then go elsewhere and perform well. I hope he does well, it will bump up his price.http://m.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/defender-plays-a-...
