Over the course of the rest of the season, a GK with some confidence (hoping that that's what we might have after this afternoon) will be worth far more to us than 2 extra points today. Nice though they would've been.

Shame we couldn't hang on for the win, would've took the point before kick off though, as long as we win next week.

Was more two dropped than one gained, but the team played well on the whole, Migs & Lovren were great. I can see us getting stronger towards the end of the season.

Good point, that. I hope Mings keeps it up.

Jeez I was a pity today watching the game, no idea why I was so worked up for this one. Think it meant more than the 3 points on offer. I hate to admit I turned it off with 10 mins to go as I felt the inevitable was coming frown and at that stage my nerves were shot !!
All in all a decent point I suppose. Would most likely have taken that this morning.

Absolutely. If Migs can consistently put in those type of performances then it's going to be a while before we see Karius again!

Interesting, if brief, write up about today's game: https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2017/jan...

I particularly liked this paragraph at the end (something I wondered about after the result) -
The Guardian said:
In the top-six “mini-league” between these two teams plus Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham, every other side has lost at least two games – apart from Liverpool, who remain unbeaten. In the Premier League’s most exciting managerial lineup ever, it is Klopp who has established himself as the most astute tactician in these head‑to‑head contests.

Get this nasty feeling well come flying out the box - go 2-0 up in the first half before letting 2 late goals in the 80-90th minute to draw 2-2.
Hate being (kinda) right.

Actually a bit gutted rather than relieved to get a point - would be nice to stop conceding late goals.

Good to see the main guys back and Migs do well.

Chelsea have a tougher run in than us but I think it's fair to say our game against them really is our season defining game

I wanted your mob to win yesterday. You let me down. Shame your team always runs out of steam after an hour.

It was a shame they equalised but happy with a point overall.

I enjoyed watching the game in the end because I felt really nervous before it.

Turned it off?!! Matches like that and the emotions stirred up are what being a fan is all about. For good or bad. Must admit when Milner scored the pen I celebrated in a way I rarely do these days. And then lived on my nerves for the next hour or more. Horrible at the time but a gutsy performance and a good point.

There must be something in knowing that Karius is genuinely challenging for his place that pulls out that extra little bit from Mings, even unconsciously, that makes the difference. Certainly worked yesterday.

Fancy paying £100m for "one of the best midfielders in the World" and then going route one and cutting him out of the game completely! hehe

Apparently we set ourselves up to be very defensive, and yet had more touches in their area, more shots, more shots on target and more corners!

After his first half performance I can see exactly why he was bypassed in the second half.. given he came out for the second half at all and the branding round the stadium he must have one of these contracts where he has to play. The best thing about PP is clearly his agent.

yep - they were on a good run, and out two prior games were two of our poorest performances this season

That is so weird. It's so disrespectful to all the other players in the team, as well as being utterly bizarre. I'd be embarrassed as a player and embarrassed as a fan. Especially as he's been pretty poor.

Me too, I was driving though, with my 18 month old sat next to me. He spent the rest of the journey making me do it again and laughing at me, then started running round the house doing impressions of me when we got home.

He did it when they equalised though. :-(
