Gabriel Jesus is out for 2-3 months apparently. I know they have Aguero to fall back on (!!!) but I honestly thought GB was going to help push City on to cement a top four place. If Aguero gets injured too then it might just make top four that little bit easier.
I am not sure its out to get excited about seeing him get injured and one of the top 3 strikers in the world come in to replace him Well, quite! But Aguero has been a little out of sorts this season, struggled to hold down a position in Peps team and adapt to the tactics. Rumours of him being off in the summer. No doubt he's a massive asset for them, but I don't think he's going to be "top striker in the World" that has was a season or two ago.

Anyone watch Draxler tonight ?
Looked very good didn't he. Were we ever really in for him was was it the old Ken Bates just before season ticket renewal in for him?I still believe that we have the brand, the history, the manager and a small pool of very good players to be able to attract the likes of Draxler. We just have to pay what the selling club wants and meet the wage expectations. For the majority of players I think that will be enough.

Regardless of whether we were in for him or not, we were never going to get him once PSG wanted him.
Why?forget 1 min the champs league - you watched more French football, its dire, stadiums half empty - if a club with real ambition wanted him they could have got him
I am not 1 for over paying but he would be worth 150k a week - with his push champs league would have been very on with next so he would have got that, he would have got to work with possibly the most attacking coach in the world - got to play in front of full houses every week in the most exciting league in the world
Its not as cut throat as you may think.

Winning the league regularly. Virtually guaranteed champions league. Earning loads more money. Living in Paris.
There is plus points to both, depends on the player I can understand a play not coming if we offered less but if we offered the same or a little bit more (which we can afford) then its not a straight cut as some may make out.

Ok, let's forget Champs League (which is a bit silly because it's a massive draw for the top players). As PurpleAki says, there's a whole host of reasons as to why Draxler would end up with a more successful career at PSG than Liverpool. Yes, the French league is a lot easier (though PSG are not top and Monaco and Nice are now half decent teams), but he'll be competing for top domestic and European titles every season. He'd also be playing with some of the best players in Europe in Cavani, Di Maria, Verratti, Silva, Meunier.
On virtually every argument, PSG can top us. The only reasons that a player would choose Liverpool over PSG is either some strong connection to Klopp, a desire to be part of a "project" or some sense that they wouldn't be first choice at PSG but would be at Liverpool.

The only reason? surely you are not saying players would rather play in the French league more than the prem - I could score 15 goals a season there. On virtually every argument, PSG can top us. PSG are not top no but they have been through transition and it wont be long till they are - Monaco have a few top young players who will be taken (probably by prem clubs in the summer) If it was a case of a nice place to live then I am not sure many foreign players would ever come to England
