I guess, but as Swansea's star man, unless they get relegated I can't see him being cheap and he'd be way down on my list of positions to buy for.

Exactly Sye, we do NEED both types of player in order to have a better squad. Currently we have 17 year old Woodburn replacing Coutinho from the bench and no real options to rotate. A couple of injuries and we're really short of options. Obviously it's great to give Woodburn and co. a chance, but it shouldn't be detrimental to the team. Putting a couple on if we're comfortably ahead during a game or having a mixture of experience and youth in an early cup game would be ideal experience for them.

He would nto be cheap , I imagine 25m ish, but you know exactly what you are getting whereas you could spend 30m on someone from outside UK and he not take to the Prem

Another option - Max Meyer from Schalke. Thought to be available for around £15m.

& the rest i'd say . We have also been linked with him & not many have chosen Liverpool over the Lovely Lillywhites as of late.

You got Alli, we got Suarez. I'm willing to live with that.

Agreed. Even at £25m I think it would be a good buy when you compare it to some of the transfer fees nowadays. Proven in the Prem and someone who could really thrive with better players around him. Obviously nothing is guaranteed and he could struggle not being the big fish in a small pond. In other words, not focusing our play around him like he has currently.

I do think buying one maybe two players already in the Prem who could fit straight into the team/system (with a pre-season) would help the squad and potentially help players coming from abroad.

Me too as good as Suarez was & still is I just couldn't have lived with the shame & embarrassment that came with him.

Suarez is a horrible cheating tt but at least I don't have to watch him playing most weeks as I really don't watch Barca much at all.

Alli is a real prospect isn't he

He never really shone at Tottenham, why would it be any different at Liverpool where the pressure is even greater?

EDIT: I'll throw in another name that hasn't been mentioned yet, Kagawa. Misused by Utd but Klopp knows how to get the best out of him. Currently behind Castro at BVB and with Dahoud going there he's likely to be used even less. Could be a cheap way to get quality and CL experience?

Because youre not as good as Tottenham?

Siggy is class you should jump at the chance to get him.

Pass on Kagawa thanks - you would take Sigi over him every day of the week for me

Dahoud has signed for Dortmund - they really do have some hell of a young squad , they have what FSG want, shame we dont have champs league and can attract these lads as they have a hell of a pool of young lads now, who are really at the top of their game for their age

Dortmund's future

A. Isak (17)
C. Pulisic (18)
F. Passlack (18)
O. Dembélé (19)
E. Mor (19)
M.Merino (20)
M. Dahoud (21)
J. Weigl (21)

Wow

In all fairness to Siggy Spurs never played him in his favoured position. I'd love him back but he wouldn't get much game time with us now & he's far to decent to sit on the bench.

The fans at Spurs still think highly of him , well I do.

It's harsh to say he never shone at Tottenham when he never got given a fair chance. Besides he really seems to have improved his game since then. 8 goals and 11 assists playing for Swansea is something not to be sniffed at. Lallana was woeful in his first couple of seasons at Liverpool and no-one would've battered an eyelid if he left. Now he's one of our most important players under Klopp and that's the thing, players can improve/adapt.

Also you just said Sigurdsson never shone at Tottenham, but you'd be willing to take a punt on Kagawa who was in most parts dreadful at United, couldn't cut it in the prem and has also only played 20 games in total this season. I know stats don't mean everything, but in the league he hasn't scored and only has 2 assists.

Yes they're really laying down the foundations for a good team in the future. Dortmund is known to develop young potential players into world class players, so it's clear to see why someone would choose to move there instead of the likes of Liverpool.

It's just a shame that the players that really push on will be sold to Bayern in a few years time (albeit for a nice profit).

Lamela used to get a lot of game time before he vanished - he is twice the player he is
