Hull winning didnt help though.

I think it was Gary Neville punditing last year who suggested they could win the league then get relegated the next season. I remember the comments being roundly ridiculed at the time.

Goal. United lead.
Leicester City 0 Manchester United 1 (Mkhitaryan 42)

Well, it's been an even affair so far, but the visitors lead. Mkhitaryan bursts through the centre and fires past Schmeichel.

2-0 now I'm afraid.

I'm starting to think it might be worth a tenner on it frown

It could happen.

Hull & Sunderland have hit some form, while surely Big Sam will get a tune out of Crystal Palace yet?

Leicester have been largely abject this season an you can't argue they are any better than the teams around them.

Vardy a puzzle.

Don't think it is to be honest - he's a Championship level striker who had an incredible run of form but has now reverted to mean. They're playing Swansea away next week, that's a real 6 pointer

A lot of people, myself included, were saying they won't win the league this time last year.
I suspect the bookmakers odds are shorter at the moment for relegation right now than they were for winning last year this time?

I do wonder how Leicester will cope if they are relegated and Vardy is sat on 100K plus a week in the championship. Last year he had an amazing season, but never set the world alight the previous year and now back to that form. Arsenal dodged a bullet with that one.

Just show's how Kante was the lynchpin of that side. Covered the back 4, and allowed other players to play football. Huth & Morgan are dreadful as a pairing, and Kante made them look like superstars last year.

I think Leicester would be financially ok for while, what with the prize money from last year and this years CL. They've not spent like Champions and their owners aren't short of a bob or two smile

yes

To be fair, if the team can play to his strengths, I'm sure he could still do OK for Leicester, but they just can't seem to do that anymore, and the more he doesn't score, the worse his form seems to get.

After this weekends results, pick any 3 from the current bottom 6 to go down.

I'd hope the new contracts included relegation clauses, and many will be gone in the summer should we go down.

Clubs that relegate out of the EPL receive compensation (TV rights) for two or three seasons in order to give them a "soft landing"......
