We could be 5-0 up and opponents still have a chance. We have a st team unfortunately.

Would have put money on that happening, now for the customary terrible second half performance and another loss, which is a win if you go but XG.

Still not sure what anyone sees in Caicedo.

Why can't we sell him to meet FFP (apart from the fact that no-one would be stupid enough to buy him)?

You will note how Palmer banged two penalties clinically home.

Why exactly couldn't that happen last weekend when Stirling thought he had dibs?

Because you signed him last year for £113m on an 8 year contract. If you sold him after 1 year you would still have £99m left of his contract to amortise. So you would have to sell him for £100m to make a £1m profit. In reality you sell him for £50m and make a £49m loss.

That's why you have to sell homegrown players, because the price you sell for is 100% profit.

I also don't see Palmer lasting long. With the season he's having, and a potential breakout Euro tournament in the summer, he'll surely be worth considerably more than the £47m that was paid for him and if an offer comes in he's unlikely to be interested in hanging around with no European football or likely trophies on the horizon?

After calming down from running around like a crazy dick for the last 2 minutes last night, I am now back in the real world and accepting that, yes, we are still really crap and that only papers over some of the cracks. Still stealing 3 points from Utd is so sweet it will do for now !
