Good good. We all know how good he is and has the potential to be but he seems to have flown under the radar a bit outside of arsenal fans. Whereas the likes of Greenwood at United is a once in a generation talent, despite doing no more than Saka.

I was feeling pretty bad about the performance until the last five minutes. It seems our players have remembered that if they want to be they can play pretty well!

Yeah, it’s been a bit dire up until then.

Back to making our own lives hard again, but a win scraped.

I've been feeling crap about it since the second goal though.

I don't really mind winning ugly, it's a necessary part of football, but recently I feel like the performances have been slipping back to the sideways and backwards performances that we had under Wenger.

Onwards and upwards. God I hope the performances start getting better soon, we have a very tough three games coming up.

Will take the win to be honest. Getting points on the board. 9 from 12 with the trip to Anfield done and dusted. Could be much worse.

Some other results today are a good reminder to never complain when your team wins, even if the performance isn't 100% convincing. A win is a win....

Deadline day predictions?

I'm going for Torreira and Guendouzi out on loan (seems like done deals so not much of a prediction).

For incomings I'm going for a Jorginho like loan signing to bolster the midfield in a pretty underwhelming way. Auoar and Partey look to have slipped away.

Overall, a bit of a damp squib.

A few out on loan and no one coming in, at a time where if we have a free run at a couple of top players who would make us real challengers, the club let's the fans down and won't sign them unfortunately.

If this happens then we are still firmly in the 'Banter Club' era.

Not signing anyone would be better than signing Jorginho, not only do I not see what he would add but it'a fking humiliating being a home for Chelsea cast offs. I thought we wanted to be better than them.

If the stadium is closed and Ozil stays, the club is skint, i think that is the nub of it.

I am glad the window is closing today, at least it will refocus minds on players we do have and improving the way we play with them.

The West Ham result is suddenly looking like a not bad performance...

Well, Auoar has confirmed he is staying at Lyon. Which means I can forget about trying to spell his name correctly, so that's good.

I'd rather have ESR and Willock given more chances than some deadline day smash and grab like Jorginho.

Apparently he was on about £30k a year too, which is about 0.03% of our annual wage bill if my maths are right. Yes, I understand that in business these very small things add up, but it's hard to see that as anything other than a complete dick move. It hasn't saved the club any meaningful amount of money at all, all it's done is piss the fans off and make the owners even more unpopular.
