Havertz has been doing a mega job recently. I'm still pretty sceptical of his price tag, but it's tempting to think that goal alone justifies it. Keeps us in the mix.
I'm worried about the CL now, that was a little bit of a momentum halting performance, but hopefully we'll get it done.

I get what you are saying, but he’s just got this st in him, even before Raya came along
Every player has errors in them. That's life sadly. Ramsdale wasn't the reason we didn't win the prem last season as he was immense, as were the rest of the team. He was brilliant today, bar one error.I really felt for him and Havertz was spot on afterwards when he said he'd made errors leading up to the equaliser.
It was still good to see him and am sad that Arteta hasn't really given him enough game time. I'm glad we won, not so much because we're top, but so that it didn't define Ramsdale's first match in ages.
To those who think Ramsdale is as good or better than Raya. Do you actually watch all the games?
Ramsdale is flappy at crosses and bad with his feet. He is a great shot stopper.
Raya is much better than Ramsdale at dealing with crosses and with his feet. Ramsdale is the better shot stopper.
Raya is an upgrade. He is calmer, more assured and suits this team better. I like Ramsdale and am sad for him but it's best for all if he is sold in the summer.

There was nothing between them when they'd played similarly to be able to compare stats.
Keeper's the worst position on the pitch, with no mercy on mistakes. Sure, one went in today. He stopped a couple too...and coming back after sod all play, that performance really needs commending.
Am a fan of Ramsdales - he was great for the Blades (my team) and would dearly love for someone like him back.
I was keen to see Arsenal win the title last year. Ramsdale wasn't the reason Arsenal choked it. Saliba's injury was likely way more fundamental. Not bothered this year.

I thought that last season he cost you a few goals and therefore points, with his poor positional sense and woeful kicking ...
While I'm aware stats without the full picture are a dangerous thing, according to the Premier League, Ramsdale made 2 errors leading to goals, same as Gabriel. For goalkeeper context, Raya and Pickford made the same amount, as did Sa and De Gea. Meslier made 3 errors leading to goals, and Lloris 5.
Ramsdale is a little flappy here and there, but Raya has been that too for us at times, particularly under the spotlight. I'm fairly comfortable saying that they're overall about equivalent, they're both below the level of Ederson, Alison, or someone like prime De Gea or Neuer. They're very good keepers, but not truly world class, imo.
Our stable back line and improved midfield probably has more to do with goals conceded than the keeper has.
Anyway, whatever. I hope Ramsdale doesn't hang around for his own sake, I hope he goes somewhere the manager values him. Arteta won't change his mind, and whichever goalkeeper is between the posts, we're winning games at the moment.
CL, and then a season defining match against City. I don't know who's going to win the league, but I want us to be in it right to the end,

100% agree with everything above. I know professional players should be able to deal with pressure, but I reckon Ramsdale has balls like church bells to concede that howler and then put in that second half performance.
He had a great season last year, is a quintessential Arsenal character, and is entitled to wonder what he did wrong to be usurped by Raya (who I also rate very highly after a shaky start). To come in only because Raya was ineligible today must have felt like a consolation prize, he would have been thinking "don't f@@k it up. don't f@@k it up" over and over in the build up, and then....
With all that's transpired, Arteta needs to let him go at the end of the season, he's still way too good to be a bench warmer.
Is it a good result? I thought the best result is they lose to Ciry and then City lose to us (lol).
It’s going to be a tense run in. On the one hand, none of the three teams can afford to lose any games. On the other hand, football being football, all three teams definitely will.
Edit: That said, we’re once again at the pointy end of the table coming into the last part of the season. Arteta has been doing a great job.
